@@minteraysolo8509 I mean I understand your point, but at the same time, are you really telling me you wouldn’t be a villain when put in some of these situations? Also, a lot of these villains really WERE made by society. When society labels you as something, that’s what you become, regardless of if you actually are or not, or if you become one BECAUSE you were treated like one. It’s a simple fact of life: when you push an animal back into a corner, its primal instincts take over. It’s the same way with humans. Toga was discriminated against right off the bat because of her quirk, but it was no more dangerous or potentially fatal as Edgeshot’s or Jeanist’s. It’s all a matter of nature vs. nurture, and in the MHA universe, most villains are a product of how they were nurtured, because the nature of their quirk was deemed villainous, despite many heroes having villainous quirks themselves (I.e. Shinso and his ability to control people if they speak to him, or Deku and his litany of quirks, even Eri’s quirk could be evil nature), yet nobody condemned THEM. Because they were raised around people who nurtured them correctly.

@@OSPires of course! I don't disagree with that. In fact I completely agree. My main problem however, that can be seen in many of the other comments, is people excusing villains doing horrible things such as torture, terrorism, and stuff like that. I believe their actions are very often explainable, and even preventable, which is why we should always look at a villain's reasons, as it can make us improve as a society by changing what made them the way they are. But they're not just victims, they also become abusers, and people far too often forget that. Explainable does not mean excusable. You can feel bad for a villain, you can even relate to them in some cases, but never think their actions are okay, and in the MHA Fandom, that is lacking. Bad pasts do not give free passes to become the next generation of people who will give bad pasts to others. As I said, it's a cycle from then on. The League of Villains inspire sympathy, but people also should look at the horrible things they do, and not think "Oh poor babies it's not their fault" like I've seen many do. That's not what justice is. Justice would be to try and repair the damage done to the villains, and if impossible, then make sure it never happens again - and also punish said villain for the bad things they've done. You can't expect to be excused because you suffered. The one who hurt you may have been in the same case. But no one wants to be someone else's collateral damage, am I right? That's why we should punish the original abuser for justice, but very much also the villain. And hardcore fans fail to understand this.

@@OSPiresactually, I'm pretty sure shinso was condemned, as well as monoma. Not that it matters if anyone said anything to his face, they don't need to, he knows how it is. I would rather someone call me a monster to my face rather than get the looks that he must get from women on the regular 😅. But both of them turned out differently(shinso and monoma) which is what makes nature vs nurture so interesting.

@@OSPiresas long as you keep in mind that we can empathize with their pasts, while also condemning their actions, seeing as, no matter the situation, at the end of the day you are in control of your actions. An example would be how one person in toga's situation might act like her, while another might want to prove people wrong, and make a place in society for people like her

The difference between Deku and these villains is he didn’t let the words or the others get to him! He kept on his dreams. It's even more tragic when you consider that there are Quirk counselors for that exact purpose of helping people to control their Quirks. The fact that Toga's parents didn't even consider that option just shows that they didn't care about her wellbeing, just their reputations.

What’s crazy, is if she had just one person who was willing to help her and be a good person in her life, I don’t think she’d turn out a villain. She has the capacity for empathy, as proven with what happens to twice, so I think if she met a guy who wasn’t immediately freaked out by her tendencies, it could’ve changed her whole life. @@jorienwachukwu466 Unfortunately I am in the camp of redeeming the villains, but even I know most of them could never truly be redeemed fully. Even if Dabi stopped his vengeful ways, and became a good guy, i doubt he would truly pay for all his crimes against everyone innocent outside of the endeavor family he hurt. It’d be bad writing if he managed to get away with it after being redeemed. Only possible way it could work is if he’s completely outcasted once more by society itself. Toga is my crush….I mean one of my favorite villains, and as stated and discussed, she and twice couldve easily been redeemed had they been given the proper quirk mental healthcare and treatment.

Honestly I want all of them to be redeemed - but after receiving retributio' of some sort? To me, Twice, Toga, and maybe even Shigaraki should receive the lightest punishment. Twice and Toga for obvious reasons, and Shigaraki is kinda brainwashed. Dabi though... It'd be hard to redeem him, and yeah, it would be bad writing to let him go without any punishment for his actions.

It ain’t her fault 😅As someone who has parents looking down on me in real life most of my life, things got better for me but Ive been told things that have been told to her similarly believe it or not girls get treated like this irl. And it doesn’t matter what how pretty they can be. You can be a beautiful girl. It doesn’t matter. Society always likes to talk about how Ugly people get bullied unfortunately in real life that doesn’t matter. I was bullied in middle school by boys for 7 years thankfully never saw the boys who bullied me seeverly ever again. I was always complmented by my eyebrows etc i was born with eyebrows that women get cut bc they get their eyebrows done BUT this does😮 matter. 😢in the fact that I they didn’t believe in me because I had a disability which socially deemed wrong even the United States if you have something wrong with you, people will call you weird and because you’re different 😮 someone who can relate toga’s Family situation, maybe not the extreme that I became a super villain, but then again super villains don’t exist. Neither do heroes with superpowers. 🖤🖤🖤🙄 I stand for her and support her 💯 and it shows that even villain was in a harmed and hurt and seems as bad because so she doesn’t meet humanities expectations of the idea of whats normal in the human population. Except for her she couldn’t meet the idea of the heroes population so I can relate & I do not think shes a freak! But its wrong society is unfortunately wrong because everyone is a human being, no matter what they have wrong with them. It was not her fault. She was born at the court that made her disgusted by her own parents. Her own parents called her a Monster 👹 because just because they lookee at the development of her newly awakened quirk. And if we all paid attention to a deck, you first got his pork it happens at a very small age…. For those who do awaken it, we watch Bakugo quirk awaken at the same age as you didn’t have one yet, but eventually he got one and we think about how small Toga must’ve been with her awaken because they all get it around the same age if they can’t then their quirkless (super powerless/normal human beings). Weaklings as bokugo put it 😅 Toga is not to blame especially when its obvious the world around her with heroes was never ever perfect. Just like the real world 🌎 today. People in the world that will talk to you and try and bring you down and turn you into someone else but all you could do is pick the fuck up and everyone’s recovery is different. You have a whole love and then you are not alone. You love it’s hard for you to change…. With the people on the right path. 😢 unfortunately we can see toga didn’t have anyone…. Because she was constant being bullied for the cork that are called disgusting. she is a villain. I’m actually really in love with her character because of the backstory in a no-homo way. and I don’t care if it’s wrong she is like bloody sailor moon who has walked through 🔥 flames & fire & she still does because thats all she ever has known!Fighting for her own family of villains.
