Ive been working there for almost 3 years and I remember the day the robots were first started up and I worked in the new barn for the first time and having to train the cows how to milk in them. Longest and most amazing night ever.

I want to say "Thank YOU" for having tours. Doing this is the best way to help to teach the public that the Vegans are wrong with their lies about dairy farms. Let the youth see and experience how happy the cows are. Teach the community that dairy farmers are NOT the evil people that vegans make them out to be. Show them how much you love your cows. I love watching Iowadairyfarmer on KZfaq who uses Lely products. These robots are the best! Only area that I have seen Lely needs improvement on is how long it takes for the lasers to find the teet.

My first vacation was a week in the hospital after a farm accident when I was 14, my second vacation was U.S. Navy boot camp. I've worked 70+hr weeks for the last 15 years or so running my own business etc....and frankly, haven't worked a day in my life after I left the farm in 1986. Dairy farming is a job harder than any city job I've ever heard of....and pays an awful lot less.

Great video!! I grew up on a farm!! I am 77 years old and still drink milk!! Love it, sadly I have 5 grandchildren and not one of them drinks milk, in fact 3 of them only had milk/formula the first 6 months!! I don’t agree, but I’m just the grandma, all children should drink milk, the schools do a great job telling you how bad it is for you!!😔😔

Great video,, she's absolutely right about being tied to the farm,, Diary farming is very very labour intensive.. Robot milking is the way forward to eliminate this..

You should point out the cost of that robotic equipment. It's in the tens if not the hundreds of thousands of dollars. You should also point out that getting human labor is to hit and miss.

I like the idea of farm tours. To get the general public back in touch with agriculture. In the UK the government and general public, and eighvin and eighvin the top gyes in the NFU are clueless and completely out of touch with Agriculture
