Nothing like a good honest review. I can totally agree with the angle, recurve that’s a half assed recurve, and that choil. Some good food for thought.

Agree with all, never thought I would spend this much money on a knife (I am French and this was frickin' 619€ off a retailer), just bought it on a whim and I will keep it forever but the shortcoming of the thick blade and grind is quite obvious. I have the (newer, apparently) non-recurve version so that helps with sharpening, but then there is this thinning down of the last 3/4inch of the blade which comes at an angle, right down to the edge, and makes it a b*tch to sharpen as the angle just suddenly changes. Not sure if I am clear but you should be able to notice that on pictures. Still quite in love with it in a strange sort of way, this feels like a KNIFE, not a collector's item, which in itself is something at this kind of price point. The thing was almost new and I am not an expert in sharpening as you may have guessed by this point but I didn't second guess and just went at it, F it, it is meant to be used, and it did get a little better (I went thinner than you did and gave it some of the odd look). My S110V Para 3 is more intimidating in some way and I haven't sharpened it yet, at a third of the price. This really feels like a user's knife. Red G10 and blacked out blade, look it up, happy days. Ive never had one, id imagine that your paying for the name and 🇺🇸, which is awesome but you can probably get the same quality and possibly even better from other companies for less, but the resale value will be their and another knife might not
