S45 is also a joy to sharpen, you can go grippy or get it to a mirror edge.

S45 is definitely the way to go. Hinderer tends to do their 20cv/m390 soft. The HRC on their s45vn is 60-61, so it should last around as much as their 20cv, while being much tougher and equally as corrosion resistant and able to take a sharper edge. God tier configuration right there.

Hinderers s45vn seems to be really dialed in. Yeah I’ve never tried a flipper in the 3.5” so maybe I’ll jive with me.

I've got a working finish Blue/Black G10 one of these on the way from the Ranch. I couldn't believe how they stayed in stock on Himderers site for hours on Sunday, the big drop was Saturday then a couple working finish and battles on Sunday.

Yeah it’s def an anomaly that these stayed up for a while, usually they don’t last more than a few min. Congrats on your score!!

Congratz! Got this same variant from the ranch! its great! Put a monkey edge frag pattern ti scale on it. I agree, what I dislike about the flipper is when closing it. Just feels funky on the thumb

I just ordered this same one but with the working finish. Can’t wait for it to come in! Is it normal for there to be a shipping charge? I completed my purchase so quickly I didn’t even browse those options 😂

On the Hinderer site? Yea they charge shipping. Most makerd do, Emerson, Lynch, Strider. The dealers give ya the free shipping almost never straight from the makers

Yes the shipping charge seems to be a thing now. I think it’s a more recent thing cuz I’ve bought off of their site before and don’t recall that charge. Everyone needs to eat…. 🤪

I would love to have a 3 inch slicer non flipper,but i don't want to spend money on another Hinderer with poor QC.....i have three xm-18 and all of them have problems.

Are you putting a Hinderer titanium scale on it or leaving the G10? If so what color would you choose?

I’m actually thinking about putting a titanium scale on it but I really like the pop of the blue G10. Also don’t want it to be super heavy in pocket. You recommend it?

@these7seas I personally like the textured titanium hinderer scale. It's expensive @ $200 and also can be hard find. 😔
