Shiv Kumar Pant - a retired school principal of St. Stephan's, Delhi, lives with his caretaker, Bisveswar as his son, Rishabh, lives in California with his wife and a one-year-old son. Leading a mundane life, Mr. Pant has found solace in poetry writing, typing on his old computer. One day, the computer suddenly goes off. He asks Rishabh to make a complaint to the manufacturing company to send a service engineer to repair the computer. The rendezvous with the service engineer at his door brings to him an incredible Exchange Offer and a bouquet of nostalgia and surprises.

I have superannuated as a teacher from a college of Delhi University . I am 76 years of age. This short story in essence is my story. I had an old laptop almost 15 years before my son Siddharth got got it installed for me. it was too old & often service engineer was often called. i resisted my son' s request to get new Desktop installed. Despite my resistence my son Siddharth who stays in London & my daughter Richa who with her family stays in Dubai got installed HP Desktop.Big screen . I watch my grand children in London & Dubai with son and daughter. I also enjoy the company of my old students on face book & thus revived my memories. My gratitude to my children. This short film is my story and short film is so natural and lovable that tears trickled my cheers.

This film has multiple layers.It talks not just of relationships,it talks of technology,a different tech savvy generation,it talks of loneliness when children leave,it speaks of old age blues, student teacher rapport, admiration for a good teacher, philanthropy,desire to open up to new things and most of all change.Brilliant amalgamation of sensitive issues.

There is concept known as Surendipity. You seem to be a part of the story and constantly feel that this thing has already happened to me sometimes in ones life.. My father was a professor in good old days. I have seen the pleasure and satisfaction on his face and tears in his eyes when somebody comes in a gathering, touch his feet and say - I was your student in 1938. He retired in 1964 and expired in1987.

Had tears in my eyes watching this. I remembered my very first teacher Latika Roy of Kharagpur, year 1969.Coming from a village in Kerala, I failed the admission test for school, class 4. My very first English school. But she had faith in me and gave me admission. If not for her, I don't know where I would have been today...!

Bless the writer, director n the entire team for making such an excellent short film👍 I have been a teacher for 37 years and now retired teacher bcoz once a teacher always a teacher 😊🙏 I cried watching this film... It touched my heart, superb acting n dialogues too. Though children are there but they have there own life, priorities and this age gap does trouble which is there n can't do anything about it.. Spouse is spouse that loneliness is one I am fighting with n successful up to a certain extent. 🙏Thank you so much again👍 Lots of love and blessings ❤️

I think it's the best film.Having spent a greater part of my life as a teacher I cannot express the joy I feel when my students still recognise me even when I have forgotten their faces and names That is a relation above all relations and the best reward a teacher gets. Many people have asked as to how Amit came to know Rishabh. I also had the same question when the film ended. Some people have answered saying that it was Rishabh who planned it with Amit and gave his father the computer. I thought about that angle but did not think it to be logical. Firstly, Amit gets to know it by chance while he was going by the young lady in his office and listening to her conversation with the caller. He recognized his old teacher's name and asks her to forward the mail to him. So, Rishabh could not have planned it with Amit. I am sure Amit went to visit his old teacher on his own. Secondly, if Rishabh was going to give his own father the gift of a new computer, then the story becomes "weak". The "strength and beauty" of the story lies in the fact that Amit gifted his own teacher the computer, slashing Rs. 50,000 off the price of the original. He later admits that whatever he was in life was because of his teacher. I think what really happened was that after deciding to gift the new computer to his teacher, Amit let Rishabh know what he was going to do. After all, Amit already has Rishabh's contacts through his original complaint about his father's computer not working. So, Amit telling Rishabh about his plan to gift the new computer to his old teacher was very easy. Rishabh therefore, knew about the plan. When his father later calls Rishabh about the new offer, he tells him that "the offer was genuine". He also says that he too had received an E-mail (from Amit). So, the professor now believes Amit. The best part of the film comes immediately after that. Amit tells the gentleman that there were still many "genuine people" in the world and there were "genuine offers". I thought that was the highest point of the film.

Excellent Short Film indeed. I think the core idea of the film is to get the people of older generation out of their nostalgic territory to adapt to the mordern technology. The film could successfully do that.

Great!! I am a teacher by profession, and principal of the college, yet to retire. I am connected with many of my students on fb and enjoying their affectionate messages and greetings. I don't understand why you only mentioned the editor as the Maker !! It's definitely teamwork. However, from the direction to the editing in the film, the director had a special role. So your this line - "At the end of the day he is the maker of the film which we watch on screen !!" not appropriate. Rather it is better to say it is definitely teamwork. The success of the film is reflected in the beautiful combination of all departments.

A very good film. As a former teacher and coach I could really visualize the change in technology available in the 21st century. I had resisted using new technology as a senior citizen running 87 yrs. But I do use modern technology to the full - mostly through my mobile where all these apps are unloaded. Good film

The computer engineer (Amit) should have also gifted a new Cell Phone to the other old helping hand (Bisveswar). His own phone was always getting stuck as he had told Amit and asked him smilingly to look into it. Of course, he said that without any expectations. Amit giving him a brand new gift too during the birthday celebration of the teacher, would have come out of the blue and completed this fairy tale. After all, this is a beautiful fairy tale with a happy ending and so, why not stretch it a bit more? Of course, this is a tale which is still entirely possible in reality. That is what the best thing is about it is - it seems absolutely "real". The camera work, the acting, the lighting and background score - everything worked out very well. I wish I had made the film !!

The concept, script, filmatography, background music, editing & every aspect of a short film has been beautifully organized by the Director. Amazing Short Film. I couldn't describe the feel of it. I have seen many short film with a small message and complete Entertainment package. But this is the best short film I have ever watched which delivers a wonderful message through out it. Each and Every Scene gives us a message. Message of Loneliness. Message of Thankfulness and Gratefulness. Message of being humble in front of a teacher. Message of the changes in mindset of the students towards a particular teacher when they study and after passing out. Message of Usage of Technology in the desired positive manner. And much more. As a Student I feel enlightened how I should be thankful to my teachers and as a Son how to be with my parents till the end. Even if it was a movie I would have watched a long time. Thank you Pocket Films and I thank my friend too for sharing it to me.

Ye meri maam hai. A sweet voice telling her parents in a crowd of strangers makes you feel 10 feet tall. Suddenly everyone smiles at you and you are no longer a stranger in the crowd.Beautiful tribute to all teachers
