MI TV users those facing issues to connect their TV with sound bar or home theatre can try these steps :
Disconnect all the hdmi cables from all ports of TV, now plug home theatre to TV using hdmi cable on hdmi ARC port of tv. Turn on home theatre and put the input of home theatre as TV.
Now reboot the TV and in sound output select HDMI ARC.

is soundbar me dolby digital hai uske liye hdmi 1.4 version enough hai. Dolby atmos ke liye hdmi 2.1 cable theek rahti hai. You can buy hdmi 1.4, 2.0 high speed cable.

@@bainssukhinder5594 vahi to maine bataya hai ki you can use dolby digital on this soundbar but this is only 2.1 isme surround sound ka full enjoy nahi milega it can decode dolby codec from sources audio and can play back them in the best available original sound with 2.1 channels. For dolby 5.1 optical and hdmi give same sound, however better to use hdmi arc, you can also control using tv remote your home theatre also.

Hi Sir, I have a Moto Tv with optical audio output and a Sony Bravia 5.1 Home theatre( bit older). It has only RCA L/R input and One 3.5 mm Audio IN jack. My question: is there a way to hear a 5.1 CH with this setup, using any converter? Or of whether the converter converts to L/R or a 3.5mm jack, the sound will only remain STEREO and the Dobly DTS (which both TV and home theater support) will be lost?

there are some converter on amazon that converts optical to rca or 3.5 mm audio jack but 5.1 channel is not supported. Will tell you if some solution found.

Yes , convertors is an option, but not fully safe on voltage ⚡ fluctuations. I lost my Blu Ray player and tv mother board due a faulty converter used. @Mayur Ji, connecting cables will be safe option. Plus 3.5 mm - aux cable too wil be good choice too .. if interference can be avoided

In some tvs you may get dolby atmos via netflix app even tv is not supported. Mostly new models like 2019 or newer. Aapke TV me hdmi arc nahi hai par optical port hai. Optical port se soundbar ko connect kar sakte hain.

earc port se hi connect karna hai, eARC backward compatible with ARC Port. You will get 5.1 channel as per home theatre specification

Without hdmi arc you can't connect TV to soundbar, using optical port you can connect soundbar to tv. There is no change in set top box and android box.

In the tv sound settings please check that default sound output is selected as optical, also check in sound bar correct audio source is selected. Generally optical cable works well compared to hdmi arc in some tv models.

Many tv don't have dolby digital or atmos but can pass through dolby atmos through hdmi earc. If your soundbar has hdmi earc you can use hdmi 2.1 otherwise hdmi 2.0 will be ok.

Thanks, I connected Airtel xstream box with sound bar using optical but it does not produce sound in default setting. I had to change in android setting under sound to None: Never use surround sound. Does this means I can not listen to surround sound? Also in Bluetooth option the sound coming from satellite speakers does not feel like surround sound but like normal sound coming from centre speakers? Please can you guide.

hdmi earc is backward compatible with HDMI ARC, if you want to connect hdmi arc sound system than hdmi 1.4 version is enough. For dolby atmos sound system with hdmi earc you need hdmi 2.1 cable.

Sir my tv has 3 hdmi ports. One of them is ARC port. Now i have tata sky set top box connected to one hdmi and i am planning to buy a dolby atmos soundbar. So if i have one hdmi of set top box connected to tv and one hdmi from soundbar connected to hdmi ARC port of tv so total 2 hdmi connected. Now if i watch tv from tata sky the audio will come through tv speakers or soundbar. Looking forward to hear from you sir.

inside tv there is option what is the default sound output, you can set soundbar. from optical cable home theatre and tv are not sync as like hdmi arc. You can use universal remote feature to control home theatre volume from tv remote.

Disable hdmi cec in tv settings, unplug all the hdmi cables from tv, now connect only soundbar with hdmi arc port using hdmi cable. In tv sound settings select sound output as hdmi. Also change to check sound settings as pcm or non pcm other mode.

You can connect optical cable from jio stb to soundbar optical port, in stb settings choose sound output as option. Connect stb to tv using hdmi cable. In this case you can not get tv sound into soundbar only jio stb sound on tv.

Optical to RCA converter ka issue lag raha hai, woofer me koi aur port nahi hai kya jaise hdmi arc aur optical. You need to test your converter by connecting another speaker aur soundbar to check what is the issue.

I think jio stb not support 5.1 channels for ott apps. However you can check audio out settings of stb by changing dolby digital and play any 5.1 channels movie song in prime or netflix

I think only hdmi port hoga, generally set top box me hdmi aur optical port hota hai. better to connect soundbar with tv hdmi arc port, as you need not to change when you play content online or from other video source

Check that TV and Home theater both have 5.1 channel support. Also check HDMI cable is 1.4 version or higher. You can also check home theatre settings if 5.1 channel to be enabled.

Set top box ko hdmi cable se tv me connect kar dijiye, aur soundbar to TV ke hdmi arc port se connect karna hai, phir tv me sound output home theatre select karna hai. DTH box ka sound tv se route hoke soundbar me aayega.

some times there are issues with connecting hdmi arc, you need to remove all the cables from tv than connect hdmi arc cable with hdmi arc port of tv to home theatre. Now restart tv and than home theatre. In TV check that output sound is set to hdmi arc. Now in home theatre select tv as input method.

Incase normally sound output set to soundbar uaing hdmi or optical the sound should come from the default audio output device. during screen mirror check what is the sound output settings in TV menu.

connect hdmi eARC port of tv with hdmi arc port of sound bar using hdmi cable. In the soundbar select input mode as hdmi arc not optical. Now in samsung tv follow the instructions as connection guide automatically give you option to select hdmi device as home theatre. Also ensure that in the tv sound settings sound output selected as hdmi arc. let me know after doing these steps. you can again restart your tv and sound bar when cable ia connected to search tv again your soundbar.

TV ki specification me check kar sakte hain ki dolby atmos support karta hai ya nahi par full channel sound ke liye soundbar ya home theatre bhi hdmi earc hona chaiye aur hdmi cable 2.1 version ki honi chaiye.

you can connect hard disk to usb ports of smart tv or android box. But desktop hdd is large and will take more power so i doubt it will function properly also you need special adapter that require power and sata to usb connctor. Mere pas MI tv nahi hai par kuch troubleshoot aap kar sakte ho. Jaise sari hdmi devices remove karke kewal bluetooth headphone connect kar ke check karo. Settings me app settings search karke bluetooth app ko search karo aur uska data clear kar ke,tv ko phir se start karke dekh sakte hain. Dusra bluetooth headphone connect karke dekh sakte hain. Koi aur bluetooth device to connect nahi hai use remove karke check kar sakte hain

Kharab to koi bhi TV ho sakta hai because sab me electronics circuit used hote hain. Better ki 1-2 saal ki extended warranty le sakte hain and also use a UPS to avoid any voltage fluctuation issues. Sony aur samsung dono apni jagah par theek hain. Aapko apne budget aur specification requirement ke hissab se select karna padega. Generally samsung ka price cheaper rahta hai Sony se. But samsung me QLED TVs are great in picture quality and brightness.

May be it happens only first time, you need to change sound output to hdmi receiver. When next time you turn on the tv sound output automatically transferred to home theatre.

nahi hota it has limitations of hdmi cec and dolby digital plus. For dolby digital 5.1 it works no issue.
