Mango Tart
When Mango season is around the common recipe we are making is mango float or mango cake but don't you know that Mango Tart is perfect for this season too. It is a tropical dessert that you will love.This tart is filled with a soft custard filling with diced mango. Of course it is important to use the ripe and sweet ones. This tart is a perfect dessert for any kind of occasions. It is simple to make and very delectable.
Tart Shells ingredients:
1 1/2 cups all purpose flour
2 tbsp white sugar
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 cup cold unsalted margarine, softened but firm to touch
2 tbsp cold milk
Mango filling:
300 ml condensed milk
2 egg yolks
2 tbsp cornstarch
1/4 tsp salt
1/4 cup sweet mangoes, mashed/pureed
3/4 cup sweet mangoes, diced
1 tbsp margarine, softened
Mango Toppings:(optional)
1 cup sweet mangoes, diced
1/4 cup white sugar
1 tbsp cornstarch
