Namaste (Namaskar in Bengali) / Pranaam is a common practice of Hindus to greet… We Hindus believe that the Supreme God is present in all His creations including man...so we pay homage to that inner soul of our soul by bringing the palms together in front of the face.... 🙏 And assalaam walaikum is used by the Muslim people.

Taati bazar and Shakhari bazar at Old Dhaka r basically famous for jewellery business. Historically, those areas are Hindu majority!! U can find nice cultural diversity, though crazy overpopulated with older narrow roads and lack of modern facilities !! In Bangladesh, the majority of muslim almost 90%, then 8% of Hindu and the rest of them are Buddhist and Christians.
