It's not about looking down on religions, it's about protecting ourselves from other predatory religions. There is one dominant minority religion which has many surahs which are violently against other religions, that is the only reason why there is a battle going on there.

Moksha is long process. A person who have the desire to consume meat and at the same time he suppress his desires it will not lead him/ her to moksha for just avoiding it. Moksha happen when your moha( desires) gets eradicated. And eradication happens when you understand the importance .

By giving pain and suffering & forcible death to voiceless ( who cannot express their willingness to live and fear death just like you) will be granted moksh. Just because he is not compassionate to except to understand and want to fulfil his selfish desire that animals are conscious beings and fear death and as a human we are evolved souls with compassion

You cannot consider Indian Non vegetarians and western non vegetarians as one..... Westerners eat meat in all of their meals......where as Hindu Indians eat non veg only on weekends or at best 2-3 meals a week rest is veg

@cijalrahim6875 Because they are different from what they are consuming for example Hindus in India mostly eat chicken and mutton, fish at maximum never eats meat other than that and many Hindus don'tconsume meat everyday like saturday and Monday and on festival days and on tithis which are prohibited in the shastras , shastras even say one who consumes meat which is not prohibited and on special days is as good as the vegetarian...😌, speak based on shastras and don't rub u r ideas on others
