Vijay Rajiv I'm a Hindu, just Hindu. Since all the sub castes in Hinduism have their own purpose and meanings, currently I am not limited to any of those. Because I don't even know "to which sub caste my ancestors belonged to". But I love Lord Shiva and i can say I'm also limitless just like my Lord😇🕉️

Throw away the term religion. Hinduism is a way of life. A way to find all your answers. Yes there are religious scriptures and practices like any other religion, but that doesn't overshadow the flexibility of the Hinduism.

hi krist don't mix culture, traditions and belives in one place that's what sanathana darma(hinduism) explains culture is different from tradition and belives are totally different things What is special about being a Hindu? 1) Believe in God ! - Aastik - Accepted 2) Don't believe in God ! - You're accepted as Nastik 3) You want to worship idols - please go ahead. You are a murti pujak. 4) You dont want to worship idols- no problem u can focus on Nirguna Brahman. 5) You want to criticise something in our religion. Come forward. We are logical. Nyaya, Tarka etc are core Hindu schools 6) You want to accept beliefs as it is. Most welcome. Please go ahead with it. 7) You want to start your journey by reading Bhagvad Gita - Sure ! 8) You want to start your journey by reading Upanishads - Go ahead 9) You want to start your journey by reading Purana - Be my guest. 10) You just don't like reading Puranas or other books. No problem my dear. Go by Bhakti tradition. 11) You don't like idea of Bhakti ! No problem. Do your Karma. Be a karmayogi. 12) You want to enjoy life. Very good. No problem at all. This is Charvaka Philosophy. 13) You want to abstain from all the enjoyment of life & find God - jai ho ! Be a Sadhu, an ascetic ! 14) You don't like the concept of God. You believe in Nature only - Welcome. (Trees are our friends and Prakriti or nature is worthy of worship). 15) You believe in one God or Supreme Energy. Superb! Follow Advaita philosophy 16) You want a Guru. Go ahead. Receive gyaan. 17) You don't want a Guru.. Help yourself ! Meditate, Study ! 18) You believe in Female energy ! Shakti is worshipped. 19) You believe that every human being is equal. Yeah! You're awesome, come on let's celebrate Hinduism! "Vasudhaiva kutumbakam" (the world is a family) 20) You don't have time to celebrate the festival. Don't worry. One more festival is coming! There are multiple festivals every single day of the year. 21) You are a working person. Don't have time for religion. Its okay. You will still be a Hindu. 22) You like to go to temples. Devotion is loved. 23) You don't like to go to temples - no problem. You are still a Hindu! 24) You know that Hinduism is a way of life, with considerable freedom. 25) You believe that everything has God in it. So you worship your mother, father, guru, tree, River, Prani-matra, Earth, Universe! 26) And If you don't believe that everything has GOD in it - No problems. Respect your viewpoint. 27) "Sarve jana sukhino bhavantu " (May you all live happily) This is exactly the essence of Hinduism, all inclusive .. That is why it has withstood the test of time inspite of repeated onslaught both from within and outside, and assimilated every good aspects from everything . That is why it is eternal !!! There is a saying in Rigveda , the first book ever known to mankind which depicts the Hinduism philosophy in a Nutshell " Ano bhadrah Krathavo Yanthu Vishwathah" Let the knowledge come to us from every direction.

Was born a catholic. Am a hindu today. Thank god. Wish those who " believe" in God realised that God is not to be believed but " experienced". Convert to Hinduism and taste the Lord before it is too late. The Abrahamic religions are all about expansion and colonialism. Definitely not about spirituality.

ॐ I would appreciate if there was awareness in people to call it "Dharma" "धर्म ". "The law of Multiverse, ब्रह्मा़ंड " , "law of nature, प्रकृति". And the co existence of all three of us. प्रकृति, जीवात्मा and परमात्मा. This manifests itself in our way of life based on Sanatan Sanskriti. Vedic SANSKRITI is repository of knowledge of human evolution. This evolved with the time and yug (kaal). Dharma has universal application without discrimination. 1. According to the eternal knowledge on this ever existing mutliverse there is no creator or creation only the manifestation. Three always existed "Prakriti" the mutliverse/nature "jivatma" the creature /species and "Ishwar" the all pervasive Parmatma. The "purush" called jivatma the "prakriti" called nature and the "Ishwar" called all pervasive "paramatma". "Neither created nor destroyed only changes forms" the famous quote of "Gita" by Lord Krishna sums it up regarding existence of this Multiverse and us. And how insignificant we are in this Multiverse has been described in detail in few references that if we as a human goes to certain "Devalok", some earth like planets in this Multiverse and spend just a day there and come back on earth how many Lakhs of years would have already been passed on this earth. Interesting calculation of one day of "ब्रह्म" equals numbers of years on "पृथ्वी" earth. ईशावासयम इदं सर्वम This knowledge of universal applications gave such a good and peaceful life to its followers that India was the top economy of the world till 1200 AD since ancient time and supported most of the population in less lands and resources without destroying it unlike industrial civilization. Till the Islamic invaders took over the major part of India after several failed attempts of invasion loot and plunder. 2. The place between Himalaya in north to indu sarovar (Indian ocean) in south is called Hindu. Himalya Hi + indu. Makes the word Hindu. Used for geographic demarcation. Hindu kush mountain Hindu river called as Sindhu river all indicated the sanskrit origin of the word. But yes doesn't indicate religion but Geographic. Hindustan is a pure sanskrit origin word. Hindu + sthan. Any word added with "sthan" indicates its sanskrit origin. "sthan" became "stan" in apbhransh and prakrit. Has nothing to do with Persian or Arabic. Read the Aagmas and puran. I repeat Hindu word is of Indian origin and mentioned in Sanskrit text not a foreign word given by foreigners. But used mostly by them to identify the people living in this area. The muslim invaders tried to demean the word Hindu with many bad words to show them down and paint them as bad people. This is how racist jokes are created. They used this word so many times that it sounded like they created this word. 3. Since" Dharma" evolved and led humans from darkness to light from ignorance to knowledge. "तमसो मा ज्योतिर्गमया". There was no other religion to compete So there is no name, no rules for bashing other religion and concept of conversion. You can't bash criticize or compete non existent. 4. This is why got more than 1400 books scriptures on various topics helpful in material and spiritual life and this knowledge evolved with time. 5. Ayurvda, Medicine, Vyakrna, Natyashashtra, state crafts, yagya hawan ritual, philosophy, astrology, Jyotish, poetics, sangita shastra, yoga, Veda,Vedanta, Aagam, Nigam, Itihas, Puran, Vyakaran, chhand, Nirukta, Mimansa architecture mathematics to name a few. Books are available on every aspect of human brain can imagine in such a detail that only one book Mahabharat contains one lakh shlokas. And this great knowledge is not only confined to Sanskrit text but in all ancient languages like Tamil Prakrit Pali Malyalam Kannada Telgu Odiya Marathi Bangali etc. Difficult to describe them in detail here. Just leaving that on readers interest and reasrech according to their likings. 6. In short Dharma is celebration of the diversity of Human knowledge. Celebrating life and Nature is integral part of Sanatan sanskriti. Hindu celebrate Holi Diwali Chhath Pongal Vaisakhi Sankranti alongside numerous smaller celebration round the year. 7. We as a layman only know about Dharma as a blind man knows about elephant after holding the tail of the elephant. 8. Most of us are only able to know what we see on daily basis like nature and creation worship. And on the basis of this we criticize and appreciate dharma. But Dharma criticize none. Dharma don't give scope for criticism but enlightenment and seeking truth . 9. There is so much more to know. Since I am born in a Dharma followers family. Therefore I celebrate the diversity of human thoughts with ease. Dose not mean i know everything. But once you will know Dharma out of the set criteria of Abrahamic religion for Dharma. You will find nothing to criticize like a blind man holding an elephant tail and saying why he is made to hold a snake. Instead of criticism You will question and seek answers. 10. Aghori sadhu is one example of acceptance of extremes by Sanatan dharma. For example when you see a survivor on discovery eating dead animal poo and pee either you appreciate or criticize this. But no one can deny that this human will survive the odd. And Dharma have a complete set of philosophy and practicing sect called aghori. However a few. To make sure that the human will survive the extreme. Human will not die out because of the certain dogmas made by the so called civilized society or religion. Dharma supports all accommodates all. You must have heard the news that NASA is recycling human pee and poo of scientists on board so they can survive on that for long in space. It's obvious that no madarsachhap can become such scientists. 11. Religion ends at heaven and hell only but the Dharma gives to strive even beyond this. That's Moksha complete liberation. Gives emphasis on seeking, knowing your self deep within and finding your own path. This is the reason from Sanatan dharma lots of ism like Jain, Buddha, Sikh, vaishnava Shaiva, Atheism, came out without any conflict or blood shed. Can you imagine the same with Abrahmic religion? 12. If someone adopts Sanatan dharma way of life. He automatically fits into the either Varna Vyavstha Brahman, Kshatriya, Vaishya, Shudra according to their profession or Ashram Vyavstha Brahmacharya Grihasth Vanprasth and Sanyas. Together its called Varnashram Vyavstha for the benefit of the society. I can enlighten you on this vedic Varnashram vayvstha. Mail me Varna division start from us. Our head is our brahma to control our shoulders are our kshatriya to protect us our stomach is our vysya to feed us and our foot are our shudra to serve us. In other words for ourselves we ourselves are our ब्राह्मण, क्षत्रिय, वैश्य and शूद्र. For our family we all ब्राह्मण, क्षत्रिय, वैश्य and शूद्र for each other. But for the society we are ब्राह्मण, क्षत्रिय, वैश्य and शूद्र according to our profession to the society. In Another term division of profession. Which exists all over the world in different forms. And this is most scientific division of profession to avoid conflict in society. This Varna can be achieved by your Karma. To fit into Ashram one has nothing to do. Fits in naturally and can stay in any of the phase as long as he wants. Now it depends on us that we respect equally to our teacher and our toilet cleaner. Which Dharma clearly says respect each and every thing. This is why worship for all not only to teachers. So if you respect your teacher and toilet cleaner equally you are a great Dharmik person. To show respect we must touch feet not the head. Now where you see fault in this varna system. Lots of Rishi like Valmiki, Vedvyas, Ravidas, Parashar etc were not born in cast Brahman but respected worshipped. Cast seems a tribal identity with all the evils of Ego and depends totally on an individual local social environment no support from Dharma 13. Sanatan Dharma allow an individual to seek truth, follow a path or make his her own path to reach the goal of 'Brahma" the energy and consciousness of the Brahmaand. The feeling of अहं ब्रह्मास्मी, I am the consciousness makes one enlighten and तत् त्वमसी, so are you makes you a Guru. This is the reason encouraged many enlightened soul to find and make their own path. Thus Jainism, Buddhism, Sikhism, sant parampra like Kabir, Ravidas etc were born without any conflict. Dharma allowed them to propagate and flourish 14. Comparing Dharma with one book one prophet religion is not a good idea. Can only increase ignorance. Because books of mazhab are small simple and for that for the followers of that particular mazhab only. So better study the world's oldest surviving civilization based on Dharma with universal application, yourself. अहं ब्रह्मास्मी l तत त्वं असी. सर्वे जना:सुखिनो भवन्तु. सर्वे सन्तु निराम्या:l वसुधैव कुटुम्बकम l सत्यमेव जयते l ॐ शांति l and most relevant mantra of today सठे साठयम समाअचरेत 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏

Really?! Then, you didn’t try to feel or understand Christ’s love and purpose. I was born a Hindu, now am a Christian because what Christ did for the humanity. The gods of Hinduism are all mythical, Buddha didn’t do a thing for humanity. He left his young wife and new born child in search of nirvana. Is that carrying out your responsibility as a husband and father? Would you do that? What did we gain from that? He said we all have to find our own nirvana. In case of Christ he did it all for us, said IT IS FINISHED, on the cross. All we have to do is go to Him and accept Him. That’s all, simple and clear cut. All are equal in His eyes, there is no one in lower caste or higher caste. Love is the most powerful force in the universe and that is what Jesus personified.

@@karunab6425 what a bunch of bull. First Buddha left to better understand life, why we suffer and how we can lessen our suffering. According to your rant, sure maybe lord buddha was not father or husband of the year, but it was his sacrifice. But offcouse for you ignorant, narcissistic, holier than thou Christian only the sacrifice of christ is sacrifice. And please enough with you he died for us. Prove it. We Hindus have always respected other religions and their gods. For everyone's god must be a kind benevolent entity, so how can we not respect. But your cult religion mentality can never understand. Your a sell out who wants an easy way to heaven. Matters not if you're a scum or not, but believe in jesus and here is your ticket to heaven. No foundation for morality at all and you have the audacity to call other religions myth. All religions are probably myths you fool. What religions teach is probably what matters. Hinduism teach acceptance, either through faith , science or karma(action). whereas you abhramic religions know nothing but a book which is so scientifically and morally messed up that it makes you wonder how high the author was when he wrote it.

That is what hinduism is , you must try and learn some of the religious texts . I myself was in your boat , then I tried seeking them to learn as if what they said , although I knew to some extent that going to temples , worshiping idols and all other rituals are not necessary but I also thought that they were bogus and had no meaning to them . But then I learned some hindu philosophy and came to understand what they meant . We believe that there is god everywhere , so idol worshiping does not meant you are worshiping a stone , you are focusing on that stone to achieve moksha ie. to go back into the brahman. It reminds you to not to forget that wherever you see you see god , even in stones. We do not believe that there is one god but that there is only God . Read Bhagwad Gita or see some videos , it really helps you to clear out many of the doubts that you have , like what is correct and what should one do to be a better person . Read and you will fall in love . Also as an aesthet you will come to understand more about what Brahman (God) is , you wil find that what you believed was not wrong , there is no god in the sense what we as an atheist used to believe . You should definetile learn more as would really understand more and it will really become more clear to you and hopefully you would be able to help others . I am saying this to you because we atheist are the ones who question everything and since we do not find answers to certain things we start believing that all this rituals makes no sense , but once you have some understanding and because of your logic you would really appreciate it .

It’s very depressing to think that all non Muslims will eternally suffer in a hell fire because Allah gave them birth in those religions so, he’s gonna punish them for his own actions ? And why I was the chosen one along with other Muslims to be born in Muslim family not everyone’s born in Muslim family if only Islam is right. Nothing wrong with basic concepts in Islam or Christianity. Where it goes wrong is it does not entertain much of questioning. In order to protect identity they have introduced concepts of Kafir, Heaven, Hell of fire, Judgement day and all. All these work by fear of exclusion or failure. A non believer is to be excluded from the Society and not only that killed in Islamic traditions. Its only in today's world where now non violence and peace given prominence people started modulating their defense of arguments to suit those. Whereas questioning is basis of most of Upanishads. Most Upanishads are in questions and answers either between Yum and child, Father and Son, Teacher and Disciple. The questions are at the level of mind, intellect or consciousness (all abstract yet real and at lot more fundamental level) and lesser emphasis at level of mater and worldly means. The rules of world were left for the Kings, their committee and people and changed with times. Second basis of any Indian philosophy (yes philosophy and not religion or faith) like Jain, Buddhist, Vedic, Sankhya, Yoga etc is non violence. Non Violence had two aspects (one physical and other at mental or subtle levels). Extensive teachings in this area. The rituals that emanate off these fundamental knowledge are for normal people to rise from ignorance to the level of reality on their own than by dogmatic belief. The belief can be dogmatic at level of a sect but not universal. Universal was and always will be the very nature of experiencing the cosmos. Rig Veda says. एकं सद्विप्रा बहुधा वदन्ति. The ultimate truth is one, various (sages) explain it differently. One can believe on no God but only Material (Charvak), no God but cosmos/ consciousness or shunya, (Sankhya, Buddhism, Yoga, Jainism), to One God to many Gods or even Hierarchy or levels of Gods (Hinduism). But when it comes to Ultimate there is only one invisible force that is there even in Hinduism. The debate is only whether 'thou art that' (Advait Vedant) or "though are branch of that" (Visisht Advait Vedant) or "though art son of that". (Dwait Vedant) The Rishis also knew that fundamental knowledge has power of corrupting by giving rise to ego (Aham Brahmasmi are strong words) Because the desires work not by brains but by heart (not much control there) hence was developed the Bhakti marg. Islam and Christianity basically teach dualism (Dwait) and Bhakti. The God / Allah and the follower are separate and one has to achieve grace of God / Allah. But at base of Bhakti is fear. Whereas the Mystics of east and of the West (Christian or Sufi) did experience and taught that unconditional love or Bhakti is much better. To get one with God has better experience. Well all this means freedom. This was not acceptable to the Vatican Romans and the Mullahs. The rules of Islam and Christianity are written by people who wanted control. And those are sold in the names of holy messengers or Son of God. Not to blame the holy men. There are similarities in Hinduism as well. Whereas in India the ugly side of this is ignorant people move towards superstition. This again propagated by similar mentality of people with different names. Because it is control over society that governed this more than anything else. So cannot call all Brahmans as "Brahmans". But in Hinduism the clout is not that string. With knowledge there is possibility to come out of this ignorance and you will not get sidelined for that. Because questioning is in very genesis of Indian religions. You can dare to question God as well and utter your anger on Him. Cannot say same of Abrahamic faiths. People often raise questions on reality of mythological stories. What is forgotten is that those to explain a world view, a moral one should leave them there once the view is seen.

I'm atheist*.. but learned a lot here.. impressive. It makes sense. Sanatan dharma even has an atheism path to achieve moksha. . Edit: This comment of mine was more than 3year old...I wrongly used the word atheist there, actually, I was agnostic at that time because I was 'seeking' i.e learning about Abrahamic religions and also about Dharmic ways of life. After learning about it, I'm not sure whether it's accurate to call Hinduism a religion. Eastern ways are Dharmic way & Western one is all about Abrahamic religions. I now believe in Dharma(doesn't mean religion here), the concept of Karma & Dharma makes sense to me. I'll request you all to at least "seek" for the truth..it may be different from mine..no problem, but don't be afraid to ask questions especially about your faith/religion. I'm glad I did and now I'm more informed with a clear conscience.

Prashant, I am glad you are using your own intellect by rejecting the 'legacy belief' the innocent and ignorant children are brainwashed with to perpetuate the family tradition/honor. Please read all scriptures with the brain switch flipped ON ie. open and logical mindset. I wonder how would you integrate atheism into Sanatan dharma considering that you may visit the temples with Hindus worshiping the same Idols like Ganapathi, god of benefits, assembled from two carcasses, an elephant head placed on a teen beheaded by Shiva(Jihadi Ram), Pawan Putra Hanuman, the flying monkey without wings carrying a parvat, ABSURD and FALSE. Sri Ram, whose hands dripping with the blood of Ravana and his brother Kumbhkaran whom he murdered in rage and revenge over the abduction of Sita. Ram subjected Sita to morally reprehensible Agni pariksha, as if sexual purity would make a human flame or fireproof. One has to be a stupid fool to believe it. Truth matters. Just because a belief system is oldest does not mean it is right/correct. In fact, older religions are based on inaccurate and incomplete understanding and full of superstitions. Satyam Jayete.

Prosanto Mukerji You couldn't be farther from the truth. If you are really open minded as you claim to be, you'll begin to see the truth in Sanatana Dharma. 1) You'll see that it is a documentary of various ways to achieve the goal of life- Ananda. 2) What you consider frivolous has actually worked for someone else. Bhakti marga ( the path of bhakti) is such that it seems pretty silly to everyone else except the practitioner himself. 3) If Bhakti marga doesn't appeal to you, try Jnana marga ( the path of the intellectual) or Karma marga (the path of action). 4) Sanatana Dharma maps the journey from Dwaita (dualism) to Adwaita ( non dualism). 5) Adwaita basically means that you consider yourself one with the universe such that the end result of any and every interaction with the universe results in just one thing- Ananda (bliss). In the non dualistic state there is no anger/ hatred/ envy/ jealousy/ passion etc and in their absence Ananda steps in. 6) This journey from dualism to non dualism can be achieved through - Bhakti marga or Karma marga or Jnana marga. The choice is yours based upon your mental inclinations. No path is superior to the other. 7) Sanatana Dharma gives you choices, nothing is mandatory. 8) The end product of Indian religions be it Buddhism/ Jainism or any other offshoots of Sanatana Dharma is to grant everlasting bliss. Our ancestors rightly concluded that neither wealth nor youth nor family is capable of granting Ananda. The only way to achieve bliss is Adwaita. 9) Being an atheist is sometimes considered better than adhering to any religion because religion trends to get hijacked by people who don't understand it. You will find that Sanatana Dharma by itself is sublime, it is a treasure trove of knowledge. This is a longish comment but I sure hope you'll read through it all. CHIDANANDAROOPAH SHIVOHAM SHIVOHAM

A British man who started voting system in British India then divided Indians based on their physical features and then using manusmriti told people that this is the cast they belong to and their generations will too. This gave them a ground to show pity on us have us converted to Christianity "where there will be no biasing". Even Mother Teresa is well known for converting people to Christianity 😂😂. Please read our scriptures, Manusmriti never says that a facial feature decides your cast but rather it's the work you do that decides it. No work is more important than the other is another lesson.

Hinduism is a Polymorphic Plurist Democracy University when others are Community Colleges with one subject one book. It allows for non believers, questioners, debaters, etc. It has two most Scientific paths called Vedanta and Yoga. It has one practical path of Karma orWork Dharma. It one Emotional Path of Devotion. It has the Knowledge path.

Maya Murthy The fact that you are in a physical body is evidence enough that you have to go through the process of Karma to expend your karmas(may seem paradoxical), also your free will extends to your reaction to a situation and extends to your decision to take a certain path in life, so why not make it a pleasant journey of heightened awareness, for you and the people around you, and this heightened awareness anyway brings you that much closer to God/Moksha , whatever it is you are seeking for.

Free Speech blame the Brahmins. And get rid of the caste system.
@sanatanishardool
@sanatanishardool 7 жыл бұрын
Free Speech Caste itself is not Indian word there is Varna which in chapter 18 of BHAGWAT Geeta says your Varna depends on your Karma, Even in KAUTILYA shashtra it says Janmate jayate Shudras by birth everyone is Shudras and it further says Every individual has to perform all the duties of all Varnas without it you cannot live, The first time Caste came to existence was in 1901 by Risley who made it compulsory to register yourself to this idea to get government benefits... In the beginning there were so many castas that he withdrew this idea as he couldn't get the basis on which he could BAPTISE INDIANS, then this idea again came in 1935 from where did all these castes came when there were only Varnas and Varnas and Castas r very different, Caste which they translate in Hindi as JATI with capital ee of Hindi means bifurcation of mass on the basis of skin color which was the basis of West the word which is mentioned in Hindi and in History books like Ramayana is JATI with the small ee which means profession. British brought this idea to divide Hindus in the same way as DRAVIDIAN and ARYAN theory here also the word ARYAN in Sanskrit, if u go by the Sanskrit dictionary Amar Shabdkosh means the brave and those who obey Dharma it's not related to ETHINICITY. There is a lot of Maxmueller and modern communist propaganda to demonise Hindus as it's the only religion which can challenge their idiocity with logic.

सर्वे सन्तु निराम्या:l वसुधैव कुटुम्बकम l सत्यमेव जयते l ॐ शांति l and most relevant mantra of today सठे साठयम समाअचरेत 🙏🙏🙏🙏

@@greaterbharat4175 Vedas do contain some truths because originally those scriptures may have been revealed by God (Allah) to the Rishis (prophets/messengers) but you must surely be aware that, over time, these true texts have become contaminated, with additions and deletions. Swamis, sadhus, gurus, politicians, etc., have all tampered with the original words of God (Allah). Therefore, you cannot follow these texts now as they are no longer pure. They are a mixture of truths and falsehoods and therefore, cannot lead you to 'Svaarg'. To find the exact truth, you have to reach for the latest revelation, given to the final Rishi (Maharishi) of God (Allah), known as Baghwaan or Ishwaar in Hindu terminology. The final Rishi is referred to in Hindu texts is the 'Kalki Avataar'. Avataar is not reincarnation or God incarnate... it simply means Prophet. As for the caste system practised by elite Hindu Brahmins, this is a cruel and unjust system set up by an oppressive authority to gain control of the masses and rule over them. This system is not from God as He is just, loving and compassionate. He does not differentiate among peoples on the basis of their skin colour, tribe, profession, wealth, gender, etc. Only in Islam you will find such love, justice, equality and compassion. Therefore, the original religion is the true religion of God.

Hinduism is like a universal charger; you can plug it anywhere and that's beautiful, That's why there are no conversion rituals in Hinduism, To be a Hindu you must be born a Hindu which means you have to reborn (not physically, it means your conscious, thoughts, way of life, actions etc.) into Hindu system, It's a multipath system for the same destination = Moksha (Liberation/Nirvana).

I was born a Jain and got educated out of it by the atheistic, westernised curriculum at school and am now finding my roots all over again. I had denounced theism mainly because of it's mandate (that there is one God or more and your job is to worship Him). Was introduced to Indian religious thought through KZfaq and realized that the concept of spirituality is fundamentally different in it's Indian context. The concept is so different that one can be an atheist and still be on a spiritual path through Jain, Buddist or Hindu teachings. I am not forced to believe in the concept of God. What a relief and revelation!

Everybody mistook the one GOD of Hinduism. This material world is diverse. When you examine it closely you will find diverse material are three things PROTON, ELECTRON AND NEUTRON. That is Three Gunas our Rishis mentioned as Satwam,RAJAS AND THAMAS( neutron is dark particle). Then you deeply examine this particle you will come to know that really one thing .All matter is energy. Now there are two different thing Lifeless material and life force. When you closely observe again. You will find that there are different type of energy, all are interchangeable. One energy we can convert to another form using a suitable device Light energy plant can convert to life force or universal soul (Knower or consciousness) .So material world is consciousness itself. That is adwaitha of our RISHIS. Even if everything in the material world is energy . When you are thirsty you need water, Bread will not solve your thirst. Same way God is one. Enormous number of spiritual body having different healing powers is a reality. God need not require any offering .In Hinduism Nothing is offering to BRAHMAN (OM). But we have to offer flower and other thing to Devi and devatas(Architype)Because they are living BEING like us who depend on BRAHMAN. But they are super powers and can solve our material problem. IN the visible world we offer food and water to animal ,birds and trees in return we get Milk Egg and food. Same way there are being in the invisible world also. We have to offer food water and flower to this Devi and deviata in return they will help us .Science deal with only world that we can understand by 5 senses There are being in the invisible world, we have to offer their favorite food to appease them. THIS IS THE TEACHING OF SREE NARAYANA GURU OF KERALA and ALL RISHIS OF INDIA. Everything in this world we are seeing is Midhya(not real) in past and future. Now I am seeing an apple in front of me .Presently it is real. When you search this apple in 10 years back, this apple was not present at 10 year back. If you search this apple after 10 year you will not get this apple. So apple is only real in present time. When you consider this universe, it was not same in the past. In future also it is not going to be same. ONE THING THAT IS SAME IN THE FUTURE PRESENT AND PAST IS BRAHMAN (CONCIOUSNESS) ONLY. That is the essence of everything. SO BRAHMAN SATYAM JAGAT MIDHYA.(world IS NOT REAL ONY BRAHMAN REAL). Everything is real including cloud at present. For a wise world is real because he is in the present. This is the teaching of Sree Narayana Guru I born in Kerala (south India) a predominant Christian Area. At least Weekly one time some Christians coming to my home and asking why you are worshipping IDOL. Do you think it will save you? Now I know that calling GOD by name. Sound is one form of energy. I am worshipping Idol that is Manifested form of energy. SO both I and they are washing same thing, but different form of energy. HINDU VEDA ADVICE IS THIS- If a truth is told by a child accept it. If an untruth is told by creator brahma reject it. This type of freedom I think no religion in the world is ever allowed Bible says that you do not worship other than me .That means Bible also saying other power present. If no Other God why God went to Egypt and Killed new born child because their only Crime is they pray to other God. So all religion says that t lot of God, but worship a particular God. Hinduism says that only one God (Brahman), but crores of divine powers .That is reality. If one God will solve all our problem .for hungry and thirsty we just chant the God name that should have to solve our all problem. God created man one lion killed the man. Who is great lion or God? That mean everything is God otherwise you have to accept lion is greater than God

@William Thiek According to Hinduism the creator which we call Param Brahm is not doer. He can only see. With the help of prakriti consciousness is born which is called as the first child. All things which you show is part of nature which is ultimately is the form of energy. But consciousness is different from nature which you can only realise through Meditation, Bhakti or other paths which has been different path of Hinduism. Ultimately all are the part of Param Brahm. So actually we consider all things as a supreme being. You can also achieve that supreme being by intense meditation. You can not do this meditation on nothingness. You need something than the idea of God came. You can assume any thing of nature as a God and treat it with your dearest one as your mother father wife husband child teacher anything which is dear to you. Then start your meditation slowly you will increase in this path of meditation. In this in starting you will face some problems but slowly you will proceed to the peace and happiness. The God which you assume will help you and will take the form how you assume it.
