Loose Talk - a show that was probably loved by nearly everyone, there's no surprise that Moeen Akhtar and Anwer Maqsood made sure that their audience would stay glued to their TV screens, unable to control their hard and loud laughing fits. The two legends would sit together and talk about various social issues of our society. The idea behind Loose Talk was to educated people in a humorous way that just made the entire show incredible.

Actually these shows are very old, this was the time when you tube was not there. It used to be aired on our TV channels and they were quite popular then... its just that these days shows are measured by internet likes...so no one knows, especially the post millennium generation...

His father went Pakistan from Moradabad (UP, India) after Partition. So basically his origin is UP, India. Akhter was born in Karachi, Pakistan. His father Muhammad Ibrahim Mehboob, who died a few months after Akhtar died, at the age of 92, was born in Muradabad, in the modern-day state of Uttar Pradesh in India, and settled in Karachi as a result of the Partition, where he "passed his life in his own printing press and as a contractor in the garments business."[5] Akhter was fluent in several languages, including English, Bengali, Sindhi, Punjabi, Memoni, Pashto, Gujarati and Urdu.[6]

Moin Akhtar’s parents migrated from Moradabad,UP while Anwar Maqsood himself was born in Hyderabad Deccan but lived in Karachi all his life never adopted Hyderabadi dialect.

I am not Hyderabadi but i had many Hyderabadi friends of different intellect, profession and education while i was serving in Saudi Arabia. I observed their language with intense depth. Here i want to invite you people to listen Moin Akhtar again by focusing on each word he spoke. He is speaking Hyderabadi with 95% accuracy, which is great indeed, whereas at times he spoke few words in Bengali and Tamil accent. Kindly correct me if i m wrong

Oh ... what a Hyderabadi accent.... perfect. Usually Hyderabadi accent portrays only for non serious and silly fun, but Late Moin Akhtar sab gave life into it. The Urdu accent from Hyderabad and down South till Tamilnadu is called as Dakhni Urdu or Deghani Zuban (but, offcourse with different accents and styles and delivery strokes). The Dakhni Urdu must be promoted and protected to it's literature statute. Dakhni Urdu is a very bonding and tolerant language with influences and acceptance of local languages like Telagu, Kannada, Marathi, Tamil and Malyalam. The usage of "Kh" is very unique of it and only we South Indians (Dakhnis) can deliver to it's true flavour.

My father migrated from Hyderabad Deccan and similarly my maternal grandparents did. My father maintained Hyderabadi culture in the home. I could say Moin Akhtar speaks 100 percent correct Hyderabadi.

Fun fact: Mr. Anawr Maqsood himself is a Hyderabadi. He was born to a Hyderabadi family and at a very young age migrated to Pakistan when his family chose this country as their home in 1947.
