Take another look. There were 4 holes about 3 inches apart. When the plate was added to the back of the hinge, they were mysteriously gone. Replacing the door to make this plate viable was probably the best idea shown.

Not only that, if you look at the texture of the first door, it matches the innards of the cabinet. And when it’s swapped there’s a very apparent difference lol, not too big a deal but still funny when you catch it.

It's not even the same cabinet 1/2 way through. Look at the Ikea-type torque connector inside the cabinet under the hinge. Now....watch it disappear.

The plate itself functions as designed. They changed cupboards entirely yes but that's because the first cupboard already had the plate installed and removed. You ever try to score the same spot with particle board? Not as strong.

@@Zaneandhismayn Absolutely correct. But this video seems misleading. They attempted to make it seem as though the plate was a repair option. When in reality it is a reinforcement option in initial construction.

So, I think what happened here is, they had a clip of it being fixed but forgot to make a video of the problem, so quickly did that with one which had already been prepared. They just unscrew everything on that first door.

put a small dowel in each hole flush and put your screws back in! way cheaper and its not an eye sore everytime you open your cabinet

Beautiful 🤣🤣🤣 Better is to kit the torn holes with a glue sawmill mix. Fill the holes and press it with high presure. Then its hard enough to hold the srews.

So the “fix it” plate got torn out also apparently and purchasing an entirely different cabinet will remedy that?! Also may as well throw on a backup plate since tearing out hinges seems to be your specialty! Seems expensive!
