The Hintertux Glacier is located near the Hintertux village in a side valley of the Zillertal valley. The highest point to travel to by cable car is 3,250 meters. The highest peak next to the glacier is the Olperer, with a height of 3,476 meters above sea level.
Due to its high location, the gletcher is the only ski resort in Austria, and together with the ski resort of Zermatt in the world, where you can go skiing all year long.
