@@cIappo896 Well, I personally like cliffs better and his vocal style. Jason yells while cliff growls. 1985-1986 is when cliff did vocals on creeping death and I think sounds more evil than Jason’s. And the part where it’s just Jason playing bass and Lars during the die part, on cliffs few last shows they did that before Jason and it was just Cliff and Lars

James Hetfield gave an awesome interview to Joe Rogan on his podcast and they touched on this concert. Said the military folks thought people in the mosh pit were fighting, so the military started beating the kids with batons. He also mentioned the helicopters flew so low the people in the helos were smacking people with batons as well. Since I'm a huge fan, I listened to the entire podcast and it was great. The Russia concert part blew my mind. James also said that by the time the concert ended, the military guys were taking off their uniforms to join in on the head banging.

As much as I like a Jason back vocal and his terrific energy during each performance, I still have to hands down to James vocal, his growling, his angst, that against the world attitude and his ability to garner the crowd, it was epic! I miss those days when they were still these angry young dudes. The energy was high and they just swore and f everyone in each concert. Well, when you go to their concert, you just need that thrash metal feel, you don’t want politeness, you just kinda want him to f you and I would expect that. It was heavy and it was awesome.

@@ryderwinfrey1782 No, I don't think Cliff was the best just because he was in the original lineup. I think that because he could make a bass sound like nobody else, wrote and performed solos that sounded like guitar solos, and he didn't use a pick like a little bitch like Jason. Jason couldn't play those old songs anywhere near as well as Cliff. Don't believe me? Watch the old live shows and see for yourself. Robert is the only one they could even find that could even come close to playing those old songs like Cliff when Jason left, and even James, Lars, and Kirk agreed that those songs hadn't been played so well since Cliff was alive. Memory serves, they said that playing with Robert during the auditions felt like they were playing with Cliff. Jason sucks and was a whiney little bitch who left the biggest band in the world to do his own little side project, which was awful, all because they didn't want him in a second band taking his focus away from Metallica. I respect those guys for that. They weren't willing to compromise and potentially hurt Metallica and disappoint fans just to appease Jason's ego about performing his own shitty songs.

I'm not writing this to win a shirt or anything, just want to say how much I enjoy your videos and make some recommendations. Here are some Metallica song you would probably like; "I Disappear," from the movie Mission Impossible 2 is one of my favorites. Others are, 'Sad But True" "King Nothing," "The Unforgiven," "Battery," "Nothing Else Matters was a huge hit when it came out," "Until It Sleeps," "Harvester of Sorrow," "Hero of the Day, underrated great song not exactly heavy metal," "No Leaf Clover with The San Francisco Symphony" "My Friend Of Misery, great solo," "The Thing That Should Not Be," and the instrumental "The Call of Cthulhu," both inspired by H.P. Lovecraft. "Welcome Home (Sanitarium)," and the instrumental "Orion'" Also,"Whiskey in a Jar, "a great cover of a song by Irish rock band Thin Lizzy, the video has as of now over 80 million views. In the song "Don't Tread On Me," I like the West Side Story "America" guitar riff in the beginning. Metallica has so many great songs this is really only just a sample. Thanks for making the videos.

I'm only 19, and I was actually introduced to rock and metal before I can remember, but Mr. Crowley by Ozzy was the first one I do remember. First Metallica song I remember actively listening to was Whiskey In The Jar. I was out at my Grandpa's shop, sitting in the back of a broken down, rusty truck he was gonna work on, drinking a Sunkist and watching the sunset with him and my dad. I was six. That's probably the moment that defined me as a "metalhead".

Actually it wasn't really "piracy" it was Napster. Shawn Fanning devised a way for peers to share files, and there was no law in place to support the language since downloading was such a new concept. As far as I remember, it wasn't illegal for some time. The laws were re-writen and established thanks to Lars Ulrich, whic is great for everyone, but that just wasn't enough. Members of Metallica and others tried suing Fanning to get reparations, but Fanning had already filed bankruptcy. So the only thing left was to sue a handful of fans that had been supporting the P2P file sharing. This was the dick move on Lars part. They lost fans, sold out, put out a crappy movie with footage of a bunch of whiny spoiled rich boys, and their music went down hill.
