@THEJAESTER718, For the record... spittin' "off the dome" wasn't the same or the original definition of "freestyle rap" to Old School emcees or the Hip-Hop community back in the day, my friend. When emcees "wrote" a freestyle rap it just meant "free of style," that's it. Freestyle rap back then was all about emcees just being "Braggadocios" nothing more. They weren't rapping freestyle on specific subject matters such as poverty or women, drugs or crime, it was about how good they were on the Mic or how the threads they had on dressed to the 9's. "Off the dome" was AKA "off the top of the head" when you don't write anything down & said whatever came to mind. And that sh!t was mainly done on street corners playing around wanting to be the King/Queen on the block by testing the best in the hood. If you're really into Hip-Hop check out a book called "How To Rap" it's a good read for any Hip-Hop fan who really wants to be in the know what it was from the jump, ya dig?
