To sum up the ending, most people from smaller unknown cities and towns usually claim the next biggest city near them. It’s more convenient to claim the bigger city/town versus trying to explain the smaller location. Especially when you’re from somewhere that you can’t just point to on the map. As for the Migos, it’s to capture a broader fan base . Rappers been doing this. I understand this simply because I have to do it when explaining to someone where I’m from thats not a native to my state or region.
@shannonwarren1430
@shannonwarren1430 Жыл бұрын
Absolutely! Simply saying, "I'm from Detroit" rather than, "I'm from Romulus, the city around Detroit Metropolitan Airport which happens to be 30 mins away from the actual city" is so much simpler to say. Native Detroiters hate it but I think they should feel honored. I live in the city now but I can't wait to go back to the suburbs.

I think this is a problem with rich black people in general, especially those who actually came up from the hood or have strong ties to the hood. Once they have kids, because black culture is so heavily based on being street or gangster to be cool, the kids wanna be like that and have that respect. In my opinion, until the culture changes for the better, this isn’t going away and we as black people need to cope with this and fix these unique situations so our rich kids don’t go around acting gangster destroying lives or being called out as frauds and being destroyed in the process. My solution, for any kid who wants to be tough like his daddy, or just be street or gangster so bad but he lives in a good neighborhood and has his whole life, is to give them a combat sport. Not basketball, not football, cuz rich kids in those sports wanna act fake street tough too. It has to be a combat sport so he can actually feel tough and claim to be tough without ties to the street. Boxing, wrestling, kickboxing, anything strictly combat. That’s my opinion at least. He’ll also be humbled when he gets his ass whooped a couple times so he doesn’t develop this god complex of, “I’m untouchable” like a lot of these idiots run around claiming.
@zer0dbvn433
@zer0dbvn433 Жыл бұрын
@d R I agree with what you say, but I don’t have a problem with violence per se. It’s just nonsensical violence I have a problem with, and unfortunately in a lot of ghettos the violence is the final type. An argument goes wrong and boom, no fighting no nothing, someone’s already dead for usually the littlest thing. Violence is a part of life, and I think lying to ourselves that the world is peaceful is stupid. I think supervised fighting is good, cuz obviously some people take it too far in a fight also but I’d be lying if I didn’t say ima big fan of violence. It’s being street that’s the problem, toting guns and wanting to be part of that life that’s killing us

Perfectly Said ❣️💯✌️ The cycle can be broken. I been out the streets over 40 years and I was able to raise a male child. That doesn't glorify violence my son is age 30 and drug free, crime free and never been in trouble with the law. I will admit getting professional help for PTSD and having a trauma therapist weekly sessions has helped me tremendously. Unresolved childhood trauma must be addressed so that we can break the cycle.

I loved this video. It's forever going to be a stain on our city losing a millionaire artist and person and man that did nothing wrong behind somebody trying to play fake gangster and one of the biggest successful families in the city. There's a lot of talk about people not really feeling 🤞🏽 in Houston and I mean big dawgs .. I became a fan of your vids not too long ago and was instantly excited when I saw this one.

You snapped w this my boy. J Prince is prolly the biggest self made nigga of all time and don’t get no credit. He been locked in for dam near 40 years. @benjaminallen6469

Yeah he missed a lot. Missed 90% of even the whole context of Takeoff getting shot. J Prince put in work but he got where he is by building relationships and connecting people, and only getting his hands dirty (well not *his* hands, and that's a whole other thing) when he had to to defend his interests and reputation. J Prince Jr though is the complete antithesis of his father. He did the EXACT opposite. J Prince went from the hood to riches, and did it off respect and building connections over years. J Prince Jr grew up rich and and wanted to go to the hood, disrespects everyone, and is slowly destroying everything his father helped build. If he wasn't his son, he'd have gone missing with the snap of a finger. He is not only putting his father's legacy cultivated over DECADES at risk, he's ruining his image and going against the whole "respect" thing, you know, the thing J Prince literally wrote the book on.

There's a reason why no one speaks I'll of J Prince and it's 95% respect and 5% fear, and he squashes beef by confronting you in a respectful but firm manner. Even Floyd Mayweather's manager who has ACTUAL mob ties respected his gangster.
