Minowa didn’t tap he was merely trying to defend by reaching for his other hand, the ref was very attentive to the situation and called for him to “give up” 2x, at 2:18. When ref called give up at 2:38, Minowa reached out for his other hand to defend the submission attempt, at 2:36 if he wanted to give up or tap out the referee would have noticed as his right hand would have been visible to the referee. Minowa rolled over to defend as it was the only possible way to escape at 2:48 you can see the intention of minowa, as he grabbed his hand to defend another possible kimura attempt. But transitioned it into a north south holding position Overall minowa was clearly the more aggressive fighter the entire match scoring the takedown and maintaining dominant control over adiwang, shutting down the stand up game.

This fight was for his dying mother and he couldn't even be given the win from cause of the ref. Minowa played it off like it wasn't that big of a deal.

Let's say minowa didn't tap out, lito adiwang still won this fight by UD because off those submission attempts that nearly finish minowa, those nearly finishes earns a high score in score card, minowa didn't do any submission, he's on defensive mode, and he's game plan is just make the fight longer take the fight on the ground and stay on the tap, but didn't do any damage or submission attempt.adiwang should won by UD. But there is something in onefc that never give adiwang a victory. And soon they make a rematch, just to sell the fight, this is business.

I thought Minowa did tapped out. But given that Adiwang won that fight, without that tap, Minowa did clearly put up a great fight well deserve of a win. A true winner wouldn't settle for just one missed opportunity. Adiwang could have proven that he can deal with his opponent's arsenals which he failed to do. Adiwang is a great prospect but I always thought he has a lot more improving to do on his ground game. And it showed in this match. He can't just always rely on that Kimura chance to come.

I believe that Minowa deserved the win. I mean it‘s keep your guard up at all times until the referee separates the fighters. I didn‘t look like Lito Adiwang was loosening his grip and Minowa could‘ve had the option to tap verbally. All in all a great fight. Also the fighters show respect after the first round so there‘s nothing to say really.
