I'd say Hiroyuki Sawano's style really suit Gundam, especially UC timeline. The blend of classical style and use of digital sound to replicate the age-old Universal Century timeline but also the ever advancement of technology. Not to mention the deep emotion and expression that Sawano is able to have in his music definitely enhanced the complicated characters of gundam Universal Century characters. By comparison, I think Hiroyuki Sawano suits Gundam UC stories way more than John Williams to Star Wars. Just my opinion

Sawano music style fits very well into the mech anime genre. Or I guess the mech genre anime needs Sawano to fit the ideal thoughts and emotions of the story.

I juste came back in the gundam universe and inwas blown away by the ost (i was not paying attention when i was a kid watching the shows except the openings) inre-discovered gundam with hathaway flash, unicorn, and this is insane (ibo was not bad at all also)
