At the time of this upload, he's actually getting a full M-Sport conversion, new wheels, BC Racing coil-overs, and Stop-tech slotted rotors! Can't wait to make more videos with this car.

Yes, most definitely. Whenever my Turbo decides to take a dirtnap on me then I'm definitely going with VTT GTC lite or Twins, more than likely Twins; Love the sound of the car, snap crackle and pops

Pure is the more reputable company. Look up VTT, their rep has improved, but they had some issues a while back with N54 twins. Maybe they have improved. Pure is pricey, but you get what you paid for, good customer service too.

N55 sounds miles better, that's the one thing I hate about the N54. Sounds so raspy and farty, the N55 is so smooth sounding!

Well unfortunately a PT6466 conversion for me would cost A LOT more than if I had an N55 and just straight piped it lol. I agree though, 6466 N54 cars sound absolutely amazing!

I drove my cousin's in-laws BMW 328xi 09 coupe, I fell in love with it! The power in the car is crazy, that thing flies! Its gives you an amazing driving feel bro the way the steering is as well.

it depends on so many factors man its hard to say. Look for service records, how many owners, what are the factory options, etc

why dont up the turbo out bigger fuelling bigger oil catch can bigger intercooler forged internals full one stage 3 lets see what a n55 can make sure we can get a powerhouse ,,,,,,,,,,,,,, coils and spark plugs a must before the tune also a cattless downpipe and full performance exhaust

imma be real w you. i have an n55 and mhd burble tune stage 2+ , xhp stage 3 flash etc etc but realistically even if my n55 sounds better it is not cause the same 5k i would spend on mine would take an n54 to 800+hp. plus the wotbox if you had a manual n54 makes this burble stuff look whack in comparison

Yea you can make a lot of power with an N54. But the N55 for a daily driver is better imo. only a small percentage of people are looking for power past 500bhp

Simply Car Things i can understand that thinking. that’s why i ended up getting an n55. going out of town would be all sorts of risky in an n54, lol. my n55 has done flawless on all road trips i’ve taken it on and pulled 34+ mpg

I have a 435iX (N55 of course) with all bolt-ons and I only made 360awhp/460awtq on E30ish, about 19-20psi. Can I see that this car would make 400rwhp? Possible. But I doubt it could sustain 400whp if that intercooler is stock, heat soaks way too easy, even stock boost it sucks. On the upside, I wouldn't trade my AWD car for a RWD car. 😂

Simply Car Things I mean, you "could hit 400whp" as claimed by BMS Map 7, JB4. But I would say he may be around the 380whp benchmark with stock intercooler on the first run. Then slowly declining after that lol. And yeah, nothing wrong with the title. But I think alot of people with stronger mod/tuning experience would argue the difference. 😅

What I have heard is that Vargas turbos are absolute garbage that fail after a couple thousand miles, and also don't want to warranty them after the failure. Haven't heard much good about them. Also people say the owner tony is an a-hole.

main difference between the N54 and N55 engines is that the N54 has twin turbos where as the N55 has a single twin scroll turbo

These cars are nice and have crazy potential, but theyre so unreliable, break here and there and maintenance costs are horrible expensive.

N55 bad motor for mods. N54 has forged pistons and rods from Factory easy bolt on mods

@@lonewolf3564 then you know you can replace the cast parts with forged and you are left with an i6 that was built to be a single turbo from the get go. You can run a big single turbo, e85, and and put down tons of power all on the factory ecu. The n55 can be built just like the n54 if not better.
