Norah is very talented and good. She has a connection to The Beatles. Her father Ravi Shankar famously taught George Harrison to play the sitar. Her sister Anoushka Shankar is also a musician.

I love this song and the album ("Come Away with Me"). Her voice is full and smokey. The lyrics are so relatable. It feels like she is conveying that she needs her loved one to show more and more desire for her, and also relates her fear of rejection. It's just perfectly sublime.

Absolutely. I suggested this a few months ago. It would be fun if they had at least one dedicated duet day every week/14days/month. I want some Roy Orbison/KD Lang - Crying. Or Willie Nelson/Shania Twain - Blue eyes crying in the rain. There's so many great duets out there...

I would put that the other way. Great as Diana Krall is, Jones has purer notes. Diana Krall would have to have learned the talent of singing. Jones just had to perfect it, because she already HAD the talent of singing. I love the rasp in Kralls voice and I won't deny that it isn't fantastic, because it is, but I couldn't listen to her all day. I can and HAVE listened to Norah all day, on many days. There's something about her that just sets her apart. And sure, some may make the claim I suppose that she's "too" perfect that to them it can get boring. I've never been bored of Norah Jones, personally. And doubt I ever will be.

I fell in love with my late husband when this cd came out. I would play it when I was in the kitchen cooking. One time I saw him peek into the kitchen when he heard Nora’s voice. I asked him if he needed anything. He said “nope. When I hear you playing this cd I know I’ll be eating something delicious to later. Carry on.” I laughed. I love me some Nora Jones.

This first album by Norah Jones is still the best example of both her vocal and piano skills. The perfect mixed cocktail in a roomful of blue smoke and jazzy nightclub chill. She has another song on this record that insinuates and slowly winds itself into the corners of your imagination. It's called, I'VE GOT TO SEE YOU AGAIN. Norah also covers COLD, COLD HEART by the great Hank Williams. Recently, I saw that she dropped a single from her upcoming record. The song is called RUNNIN and features her two young daughters in the video and who appear to sing background as well. I think you will like this song, too. Other material from the Norah Jones to complement your mood are, IN THE MORNING, NOT TOO LATE, SINKIN' SOON, & OH SO MANY YEARS with Billy Joe Armstrong of Green Day. Enjoy

I love this song, and it's such a great album by Norah Jones! She's got such a sassyness to her voice and how the backing music just sets it all on fire! I was surprised at first how you were just letting the song play, but it made me laugh because I knew where you ended up pausing it was about just a few notes until the song was over! It just goes to show you how a song can change your entire mood! 😊

Her entire album "Come Away With Me" is magic. It's my Chill Music when I'm sitting in traffic or having my coffee on a quiet morning. By the way, her Father Ravi Shankar, who played the Indian Sitar taught George Harrison how to play the Sitar and used it on a few Beatles songs such as "Norwegian Wood", and "Strawberry Fields Forever".
