@@AdrienLevy77 bodybuilders eat less food and loose weight as they get closer to a competition to get rid of as much body fat as possible which makes their muscles more visible. However, eating less and working out less will make them a bit weaker. Strongmen and powerlifters usually eat more to gain more power for their competition.

@@raf6007 Well I'm 6'4", 240lb. My squat 1rm is 240kg, snatch pb is 140kg and 175kg for C&J. Still improving though and still natty ofc. But what does that change? Would it matter if I was smaller and not as strong? Would my argument have less validity? No, actually it wouldn't. Take away the steroids and we'll never see a new WR in weightlifting ever again, because they have all been achieved with the use of steroids, since the 80s at least. Just look at Ilya Ilyin, who dropped like 30 or 40 kg from his previous C&J pb, after getting popped for steroid use.

@@MarMBxxbalxver I mean, my problem is if I try to get depth like that with 1 plate I tend to feel it in my knees by the 10th rep or so, and I always aim to go to 10. I rowed, so I got some strength, I can push 4 plates on a leg press sled, but the accessory muscles aren't there. And I thought that going past the knees like that kills them.

@@TurtleSauceGaming There is nothing wrong with going into deep squat. I also have problems with my knees during leg day. If you feel pain or discomfort in your knees, I think you should work on mobility, stability and spend some time in the deep squat position (at the beginning about a minute a day). In some cases walking backwards (especially on an angled treadmill) can help.
