People have prejudice against idols becoming actors because they think they are really bad at acting hence there is some sort of separation between the actors and idol-actors but Kyungsoo is one of the idols who broke that prejudice.

Because idols are mostly chosen for their looks when it comes to acting and usually used to boost viewership for dramas, so there is prejudice against idol actors hence separating them from actors. However, D.O. broke that stereotype. Critics say D.O. is not an idol actor but an actor's actor. That's how respected D.O. is in the industry. D.O. doesn’t have any acting training.

Chanyeol and Kyungsoo are besties. Chanyeol ALWAYS plays instruments while D.O. sings...they even covered multiple songs together like Billionaire,Love Yourself...their chemistry is amazing. They're the Exo subunit that all wanted but never got officially... I hope they will make it possible someday!!!

D.O. is not someone you can avoid. Even though the whole group shines on their own talents,D.O.'s place is always irreplaceable.... his voice has something very soulful and soothing that makes you calm immediately after hearing him. He's too shy to brag about anything, but he's not just a pretty face,an extremely good singer(one of the best of their generation),amazingly talented actor of whom you cant take your eyes off,a very good dancer,a certified chef...but beside all these stuffs,as a human being, he's really a role model. An extremely humble,well behaved,caring,shy person who just loves to live a simple life. That's what our Kyungsoo is.

Actually chanyeol plays everytime D.O sings he loves playing for D.O cuz he is very close to D.O. I will say one of the closest to D.O as he is his best friend. And one more thing is that D.O is also known as the RnB prince of k-pop nobody can do as much agile runs and riffs like D.O his runs are so precise and clean that nobody can come close to it. He is also considered as the one of the best agile vocalist of Korea who is technically just a little below Chen and above/equal baekhyun in terms of vocal techniques produce resonance upto Bb4 which only Chen can do in exo as i remember and also has a nice touch of vibratto in his notes. Only yoo youngjin his teacher who is also known as the RnB king of whole k-pop industry can surpass him in RnB skills, apart from him technically nobody can defeat him in RnB vocal techniques and skills.

Kyungsoo's second album is coming early 2023. It's probably going to be all RnB. Since Kyungsoo's fav genres are acoustic and RnB. He did acoustic for his solo album debut 'Empathy'.

Do Kyungsoo is just an incredible person that I will never stop admiring. At first glance, the album, the songs and his vocals may seem simple, but in fact it is not so at all. A large range does not make you a better vocalist yet, because another important role is played by the "technique", which Kyungsoo undoubtedly has great. He has such control over his voice that he makes all the transitions from low to high notes completely smoothly and even seems to make no effort. Quite naturally, during a song, it can change its timbre from incredibly sweet to sexually rude and sound simply amazing in each. Kyungsoo is one of those few vocalists who can make your heart flutter. / This album is something unique that Kyungsoo has put his soul into. He himself wrote the lyrics for the title song "Rose", and also took a direct part in writing each song. He learned to play guitar while still serving in the army, studied independently and played each of his songs from the album to record. He has recorded songs in several languages "Korean, English, Spanish" which not everyone does. PLEASE REACTION TO D.O. SOLO ALBUM "EMPATHY".

Kyungsoo received his first acting lessons in his company "SM Entertainment". The teacher noticed that he really has abilities, talent and that the desire to engage in acting is not a little important. In South Korea, idols who started acting were not treated very well, "the stereotype that idols have no talent for acting". But it was Kyungsoo who changed everything by breaking all the stereotypes with his talent. He was able to prove to everyone that he is a full-fledged Do Kyungsoo actor, and not just playing an idol from the EXO group. Baby Kyungsoo is the cutest, polite, and humble idol in the entire K-POP industry. Although he does not consider himself cute and does not like to be called that, but it's the truth and he has absolutely nothing to do to be so cute. About actor thing.. Kyungsoo no longer become idol actor but people call him actor doh kyungsoo, his acting skill receive many praise from director and general people.. he included in 200 actor that represent korean film industry and if i'm not wrong it was only 3 idol turn actor that include in that list... please someone correct me if i'm wrong.

I just love how Kyungsoo dances absolutely every movement of his, and in absolutely any choreography so smooth and gentle that it seems as if he does not make any effort everything happens so naturally, of course, he is given such plasticity by nature. There aren't many idols who actually excel in acting. Not trying to say others are bad, they aren't. But there's only a handful that can compete with professionally trained actors if you challenge them with complex roles. Kyungsoo joined the industry with zero basics, but he has the natural talent in acting. And he improved so much as time passes by.

Because usually idols get casting as main roles in dramas because of their visual or fame and usually they can not act at all. That make industry against idol actors because they believe they are not good enough to be called actors. But Kyungsoo has the respect and recognition of some of the biggest actors/actresses and critics for his acting skills.

the thing about idol turned actor to Koreans, they're really criticize for not really acting good. Most idol-actors usually go straight to lovey dovey k-dramas rather then drama/movies with such intense acting. His first debut as an actor was the movie "Cart" and the genre isn't usually what idol-actors usually go for. His first drama "Its okay, that's love", and genre of the drama is about mental illness. His work you don't really see in other idol-actor, not to discredit them at all. There was a directors award show when he was a rookie and he was awarded, by then he already had several works out, DIRECTORS AWARD.

Yup, he's the only 1993 in the group lol Yeah, Kyungsoo have chef's license Astigmatism in simple word is cant see anything clear it's like all blur doesn't matter if its far or just miles away lol (well, i have astigmatism and that's the effect to me lol) Koreans have this prejudice of IDOLS BECOMING AN ACTOR because MOST of time IDOLS become ACTORS because of their LOOKS and not because they good at it just because it needs to boost the viewership of the shows. Kyungsoo and SOME idols broke that stereotypes of idols becoming an actor. he's good at it since day 1 and keeps improving that's why he's no. 1 idol-actor by critics The movie is “Swing Kids”. Yup, he learned tap dancing for like couple of months as north korean traditional dance and also he learned how to speak with north korean accent... something like that lol idk i forgot 😭

In Korea, idols who went into acting were not looked well upon because people felt like they were using their fame as an idol to get roles, kind of like nepotism I guess, and a lot of them never made it far in acting so people kind of shunned idols getting into acting. But Kyungsoo has helped break that stereotype.

23:42 I feel like Baekhyun is pretty comfortable and confident around girls in general based on how flirty/funny he is with fans. But when it comes to being confident around a girl he LIKES, my guess is that it’s probably Jongdae (Chen), which is why he’s married with two kids while the others ain’t LOL. I can imagine he’s very calm and sweet towards a girl he likes.

Chanyeol Lay D.O / Baekhyun Are imo the must multi-talented members in Exo. Chanyeol plays 5+ instruments excellently, writes and produces songs and is a very good lyricist. Lay can make and entire song from scratch, from composing to producing, writing lyrics, arranging To choreography EVERYTHING on his own.

33:06 NOOO LIKE, LITERALLY I HAD THE SAME THOUGHT OF ALL TIMEEE it's incredible tho. His voice when talking and singing definitely different. It's makes me certain that he had somewhat his own technique when singing. Same with Chen, his talking and singing is different and I'm mesmerized by that fact. I lowkey think that Kai and Suho are like that too. To me, D.O., Chen, kai, and suho have different tone when talking and singing.

Be ready to go through a lot of emotions with Swing Kids, the movie is good and his tap dancing and N Korean language is on point. Astigmatism: football shaped eyes, blurred vision (I have that). Confidence: Baekyhun and Chanyeol. Voice base: D.O./deep low whisper voice, Baekyhun/sensual/sexy and Chanyeol/raspy. D.O. was an extrovert happy chipper person but became a shy introvert private person after EXO had bad experiences with stalkers that’s why he has no social media accounts. He’s a perfectionist when it comes to singing in other languages and the Spanish singing in Mexico was a donation/charity event. The song they sang was from a famous Mexican singer. Flavor of me. EXOs b-sides have a lot of soul and different genres, the song that he was singing walking back is Oh la la la and that’s a good song too.

You're just not as familiar with S.Korean entertainment culture. They call it idol-actor cuz you can't deny the fact that most of the time idols become actor not bcuz they're talented in acting necessarily, a lot of times it's only cuz they're popular. It's a sad fact, hence the prejudice and stereotype. (It also happens in the west, like harry styles becoming an actor though he's not really good at acting (no offense). So it's a universal stereotype for boyband members or pop idols, and a lot of times it's just a sad fact) And I know, it doesn't make it right, calling them "idol-actor," but until more idols can prove that they deserve to just be called actors, sadly, it's gonna be hard to change that stereotype. Anyway, the ones who keep using the term "idol-actor" are mostly the medias. I don't think they call it to their faces "idol-actors." People just call them actors or idols, depends on the occasions they're at. But, to be honest, *D.O (and all EXO members) have broken that stereotype.* And the awards that he (and other EXO members personally) have achieved, helped with breaking that stereotype! Cuz all EXO members are truly multi-talented, not just cuz they're popular. That's why we, EXO-Ls, are so *proud* of them!!! To me, EXO is the only idols that I can honestly call *true (multi-talented) artists!!!* And I'm sorry if I offend anyone, but the facts speak for itself..

D.O has the best tone/natural voice that ppl love but i feel like in recent years, Baekhyun and Chen surpassed him singing skills wise. bc during the live singing clips he is off key frequently, so if he were to practice more it’ll get better but he prob doesn’t have the time :/ side note: D.O, baek, chen and chanyeol are “chingus” so they are friends in korean age

I don't think so I listened to him and apart from one concert where he was really nervous as he told the audience that he was really nervous that day he went off key otherwise I dont think he was off key in other performances and as far as singing skills are concerned I feel Chen is the best and D.O and baekhyun are equal to each other. If you gonna argue about range then please don't cuz I can go to Eb6 in head voice but the thing is till which note your voice is supported or what is your supported range which I know that is not high for baekhyun. Chen has the widest supported range and D.O has the best mixed register extending his vocal support upto Eb5 and baekyun can also support upto Eb5 not more than that. Also the notes that he hit in all I got were pure heady, sharp and breathy. Also his runs were not agile at all in cry for love. As far as technique is concerned I think the ranking goes as follows Chen>D.O=Baekhyun Btw there are lot of things good in baekhyun like his personality, his positive aura, his voice which wraps so much emotions and feelings in it that can make you think and feel deep down your heart, his ever so charming smile and his love for his members. There are so many things in him that can make you go crazy over him and i know that correctly because he is my ultimate bias wrecker but if we're to talk about technicality then my vocal analyzer comes out so that is why i pointed it out.
