All PS3 consoles are backwards compatible with PS1 games. It doesn’t matter whether you own one of the original units from when the console launched or whether you bought a PS3 Super Slim the day before they were discontinued in 2017.

I love the strategy of "playing dumb" or just not being argumentative. When someone thinks their item is worth something outrageous, like a grand for a backwards compatible ps3, just smile and move on. It's not worth ruining their day or your own over it.

Find other stuff to resell. i rarely sell games anymore because its hard for people that are actual gamers to find stuff they want at a good price because all these scumbag resellers are way overcharging on stuff. Im a gamer and a collector, but i rarely go to game stores anymore because they either have nothing because of resellers or they are charging ebay prices. and if they charge ebay prices ill just buy it on ebay and have it delivered to my front door

@@thagerdorn2009 I wouldn't say the PS3 "came out recently", the backwards compatible ones are around 15 years old. Of course they're not worth 1k, but because of the crappy NEC-Tokin caps Sony used a lot of them are not working anymore. So in the near future they might go over the original retail price.

Not completely strange but- I don’t go to garage sales often but a few months back I struck gold. 20 bucks for a GameCube and wave bird controller. Then my buddies and I bought a whole box full of movies for $5. We dug through it...ended up finding Zelda Twilight Princess for the GameCube in there. Crazy finds and people offer this stuff for VERY cheap prices.

Any time you find a TI-83 or 84 buy it! They go for around 100 bucks new so if you cleaned them up they could go for around 50 or so dollars. My strangest yard sale find was a popcorn machine.

Question for you. Possible future video idea. You often talk about trading in games that you buy in deals that were throw ins and offer little to no profit to resell after fees. Where do you trade your games in at? Typically how many games do you take in at a time in? Do you prefer store credit or cash? What does that transaction look like. Also what do you do with the dreaded returns or anything you buy in bundle deals that when you test doesn’t work? Thanks Phoenix for the time and content!

I had the opposite (normal situation) today. Found a box with few gamecube and PS1 games with gaming magazines and anime dvds. I asked the lady and she told me that she needed to call her son. Of course he didn't want to sell them. Her sister straight out told me "you asked the wrong person" because she was very upset that she had to bring back the heavy box back in the garage.

The red flag that I noticed on the back of the NES classics was that Snow Brothers was listed as one of the games. That was not one of the preloaded games on the US version for sure. It looks like the writing on the back is in French, but the European version of the NES classic’s box was a lot different looking on the front...

That price is probably the super RARE Cecha01 60GB PS3 I paid £520 for mine ($700) and sold it for £850 which is around $1000 🤷 He just probably has no clue why it’s that price, or a friend told him 🤣

I see you found the game list discrepancy on the NES Classic, but also take a look at the wall plug adapter and the HDMI cable. They both should have Nintendo branding on them. I have found that the bootleg versions often have generic ones.

Been doing garage sales for over 20 years and 95% of the time they never call me back when I leave my number. I learned to ask for there number but again 95% of the time they won't give it to you. Very Frustrating especially when they tell you they had a whole bunch of retro goods in the basement somewhere.. A guy I visited told some years ago told me he had over 100 nes games and Sega games just sitting in boxes somewhere in his attic that he would love to get rid of..... guy never called me back :(

😅 I got a kick out of how do you started laughing. Soon as he told you it was $1,000 the first time. I would have flat-out call him out and made fun of him😅 but that's just me. I pick up one of those for free what are damn fool. He's needs to learn to find better prices. Man you guys are lucky still having yard sales? I like that red Wii box and all.

now that covid is dying down i hit up my local flea market to film some pickups (which has expanded quite a i bit) and found some great little treasures. some people no matter what the market says believe their xbox 360 is worth $300.00 no matter what you show them. all good, we shouldn't take offense at it but man it is kinda silly lol cool wii pickup btw!

What games were their grandson playing? The only good games were what came with the system lol. Unless you want Barbie Jeep and yoga wii fit
