I am in awe of you, Debs! I don’t know how you do all of these events and as thoroughly as you do! 😊

Thanks Pat. I see all these great events and I just can’t decide which to do. To be honest, because I do so many I don’t feel I do any of them justice. I’m just going through July’s list and it’s once again ridiculous 🙈

@@RaynorReadsStuff I guess that's my fear, too. When I take on too much, I can't really sink into any one the way I want to. I think you must be a very fast reader.

So many choices! I’ve had Schiff’s The Witches on my shelf for a while now and it’s tempting me.

Fantastic pile of possibilities/TBR! I am participating in Historathon and am still reading A Distant Mirror from Q2 but plan to pick up - 1599: A Year in the Life of William Shakespeare - Restoration London by Liza Picard And - London by Christopher Hibbert although it crosses all quarters Really looking forward to it. Also have The Dreadful Judgement but not sure I’ll have time to get to it. Thanks for another terrific video!

All of these look fantastic! I particularly like the looks of The Basque History of the World, thank you for sharing these. I thought Vanished Kingdoms was a great book.

I remember seeing that Black Loyalists book and it was definitely one that was offered at $1.99 or $2.99. (I'm the same about purchasing books on Kindle.) You have so many interesting books that I've never seen. That Oxford book of the West looks gorgeous. I'm still juggling my list of possibilities. It seems like I change my mind on a daily basis. I'll just have to see how I feel on June 30:)

That must be where I found it. It does look good though 😊. I couldn’t believe how cheap that Oxford book of the West was. I’m like you, I change my reading plans at the drop of a hat 😂😂 but I have plenty to choose from. Happy reading

I keep hearing so many good things about Serhii Plokhy, and I know I have his book on Chernobyl and "The Last Empire". I thought I had the history of Ukraine one, too, but you might another edition with another title. If you want to read it together sometime this quarter, I can go back into the book room and check more closely. Everything I hear sounds like he's incapable of writing a bad book. You know where to find me. :)

Yes I want to read it with you. Go look for it 😁 and I’ll be in touch. I’ve not read any of his stuff before but did hear it’s meant to be very good 😊

I have to finish Dan Jones' book on the Plantagenet's by Sunday. I can't wait for Q3 to start. I'm looking forward to reading Figes books later in the year. You have some fascinating books lined up for the next 3 months.

@@RaynorReadsStuff I know what you mean, June was manic, and July will be even worse, but fun. I just love summer, and reading in my garden. Right back to Tale of Gengi.

Great potential picks there. I will have to look up the Restless Republic - I did a course on the English Civil War and it practically skipped the interregnum!
@RaynorReadsStuff

Thanks Gavin. The Restless Republic comes highly recommended. I feel my knowledge of that period is just missing. It’s not even vague, it’s just not there 😂. How did your course mainly miss that main point 😂

@@RaynorReadsStuff must have been put together by royalists… really boiled down to Cromwell took charge, cancelled Christmas and theatre, had warts, fought the Irish and his son wasn’t very good, so they invited the king back, and we all lived happily ever after. The joyless puritans all left and transformed into Americans.
