Me gusta la musica espanola. Pilita es la ultima huella de cantante espanola en Filipinas. Soy filipino de Cebu. Es importante que valoremos nuestra herencia hispana. Durante 3 siglos, Filipinas había sido una colonia de España. Mi bisabuelo era de ascendencia española y muchos filipinos tambien.

I’m 15 and I love hispanic culture. I wish other Filipinos embraced our hispanic side more, it’s one of a kind. It’s a mix of Asian + hispanic, where else will you find that?

From Wikipedia Historia de un Amor (Spanish for "a love story") is a song about a man's old love written by Panamanian songwriter Carlos Eleta Almaran. It was written after the death of his brother's wife. But when I first heard it I thought it was about a man and his mistress and he suffers because its adultery (evil) and he's religious and he's torn between loving her and obeying God.

Pilita Corrales is linguist: she can sing in English, Spanish, Filipino and Cebuano. "Historia De Un Amor" is one of my favorite songs, though I don't learn Spanish - I just look at its English translation to understand the lyrics! I think the song is about a person who adores his/her lover like a god (the lyrics "you were always the reason for my existence " and "adoring you, for me, is a religion " are what make me realize how deep is the love for the beloved).
