Totally floored. Mind blown. I still can’t believe we live dig one of the most rare & iconic coins in United States History. We metal detect a friends house that was built in 1851. His property wraps around an early grave yard. The grave stones are all much older then his house. You never know what and where you will find something that will completely blow your mind. Treasure hunting at its best!

I keep coming back to this video because that is such an amazing find. Kurt, you will probably be the only person to ever capture the digging of a chain cent on camera. Absolutely unreal find even 4 years later. Thank you for recording your adventures for us all to see! Any updates on this beautiful coin since the video? Find any new info about it?

I had a 14k javelina pendant just like that. I bought it in 1973, in my hometown, Kingsville, TX. Our local university, Texas A&I, now A&M Kingsville, football mascot is the Javelina. When I left Kingsville, I gave it to my dad, upon his death, I gave it to a close friend who is a big Javelina booster. Nice dig Kurt! 👍🏻

Happy Freakin' New Year Kurt and family as well as all the Hoovers, what a way to start the new year. To find anything, coin or artifact, here(only 1890's is about as old a coin I have ever dug] gives me the same thrill. In the early 1800's I don't think more than a dozen Europeans had set foot here on the west coast of BC. I truly hope you find something more incredible this year but other than a large gold coin I can't imagine what it would be. Once again from a die hard digger and history lover "Thank You" I have no idea where you find the time to do all you do, I just watched two package unveiling videos and go to comment and up pops this. You deserve all the awesome gifts and incredible finds. You do the time you get the prize. GL&HH Oh and thanks for share the history behind what you find, makes it easier to justify the time watching,)
