Welcome! I have SUCH a special video for you all today. My grandmother, Beverly and I spent the day at the historic Filoli Gardens and Estate. It is about 30 miles south of San Francisco and all I can say is that if you are ANYWHERE near these gardens, go see it for yourself. It was lovely and inspiring and I can’t wait for my next trip! 🌷 Enjoy!

Since FILOLI opened until Covid there were beautiful white doves in a large cage in the tea house. You could sit in the rattan chairs and just enjoy the day! ❤️🙏

I love the architecture of this estate. The garden gates, windows in the garden room and the formal hedges in the garden. Love it! Thanks for taking us along 💐. It's snowing here in zone 5b, this was a much needed reprieve. I'm waiting patiently for summer 😊

What a wonderful tour! I've seen a lot of tours on-line, but this was by far the best! Thank you for sharing. There are so many ideas that can be applied on a smaller scale to our home gardens!! Sooo Beautiful. You know you are a true blue gardener when you appreciate the hardscaping and spring flowers while knowing that there is so much more to come. EDGEWORTHIA!!!! I have been coveting this plant for 2 years and now that I am ready to plant one in my new garden bed none of my Portland,OR nurseries have them and they don't expect them this year. It seems that in 2020 they sold out of all the sale plants and the small growing stock plants. sigh. I am seeing some online. So if you see any in your california nurseries grab one. The Orange one in the small house is very difficult to come by. The pale yellow one is more common and I think just as pretty. It must have smelled gorgeous in that little plant house. I saw edgworthia all over England last year in public gardens and in my friends gardens. I am in LOVE. Thanks for sharing Janey!!!!

What beautiful gardens on that estate.It certainly was a great day for spending time with your grandmother. How special! All those daffodils in pots, spectacular. Those specifically pruned English plane trees reminded me of crape murdered crape myrtle trees. Those trees had very unusual shapes.

The plants in green house they looks like aplant design of Claus dalby . I lovet Janey you can make acorner of pots near the fountain or outside . wow stunning loved watching this video of this stunning estate the garden room was amazing am so lucky myself as well as running my own florist business from home i also work at a stunning castle with stunning gardens woodland trails walks ect the hard dedicated compassionate work that goes into estates like this certainly is appreciated and is a joy to visit the look on your face with the sunkin garden says it all certainly jaw dropping id be the same it was stunning thanks so much for sharing this video it will look even more stunning in summer when everything is in full bloom

Ohh may you got to go to this place, when I saw this video I was so excited., my husband and I were all set to tour this place and then covid pandemic shutdowns started and there no tours to tje public, have been so curious about this mansion... I guess its easier to go when you live so close to the city, still would love to go see it.

Fun Fact: The door to the gardens from the Clock Tower Courtyard came from the Bourne's San Francisco home. The Bourne's also owned the Empire Gold Mine (produced 165 tons of gold) and Crystal Springs Water Company. ❤️🙏

Janey, are you aware that Mr. Bourne also owned a gold mine and “Cottage” residence not that far from you in my old home town of Grass Valley. How gorgeous! You and your fam should visit the Huntington Botanic Garden near Pasadena Janey. It's huge, and every corner is a themed Garden.

Wow Janey I watched this video 3x yesterday and again today lol that place is amazing! I love those magnolias! A few people in our town have them and they are just show stopping gorgeous! Our camellias are tall trees just like those red ones. I always thought they had never been maintained and went crazy lol😂

The main house was used in the TV series ‘Dynasty’ , where ‘Blake Carrington’ lived with his family. Over by the sunken gardens is where ‘Alexis Colby’ and ‘Krystal Carrington’ had there famous fight in the pond. 😂
