In this video, we take you down historic St. George Street, and show you the shops, eateries, and the history of St. Augustine, Florida.
St. Augustine was founded in 1565, and is the oldest city in America, and one of the most beautiful.

When I was 18 years old I travel to Florida from Indiana to meet my real father he was kind enough to show me that very fort I can no longer travel because of my age I want to thank both of you for bringing back memories to me that are very special God bless both of you

One of my favorite places to walk and eat. Never tried the pizza, I will now! Toured the fort once. It’s great.

Enjoyed the video of my birthplace (1955) to be exact😊 much to see for sure. Lived in Flagler Beach a small ocean town south of Marineland. A simple life a, peaceful beach..Moved to South Carolina in the 70s . Thank you for sharing. Yes, we know exactly where Flagler Beach is. Been there many times. In fact, we ate lunch there at the Funky Pelican, and did a video there on our way up to St. Augustine. Check that one out. The Flagler Beach pier was partially destroyed by the hurricane last October.

I live in Tampa and have been thinking of going to St Augustine for a short trip. I haven't been there in many years. I think this really helped me.

Oh and we love the Christmas Tree Lightning Ceremony. Many lunches @MCCRORY's back in the day. 😊 also, wonderful afternoon music goes on in the park.

For years our stomping ground was the Mi Cssa which is now, renamed, next to Annie Anne's. Beautiful plants and our wonderful musicians every Saturday. Then we go an get Pizza @ Pizza Time. Love our historic city. ❤😊

St. AUGUSTINE is such a great town. I got my picture taken at that same spot outside the old city gates. I wouldn't have been allowed in the city because my ancestors were Huguenots. I really enjoyed walking through the historic area on St. George Street. Kim and I both got Dole Whip at that same stand and ate them at that little area behind there beside the water wheel. Thanks for sharing this adventure with us. It brought back so many great memories.

That is really neat, about your ancestors being Huguenots. It is also neat, that you both got Dole Whip at the same place. This time, she got something like a Dole Whip in a cup...Soft serve, with some coconut flavoring in it. Like a float, in a way. Glad our video brought back memories for you. We are planning on going back down there in December, to see the lights.

Beautiful city. I’m wondering if you have a “gimble”!(sp?) which helps a lot to steady your camera while you are filming during walking. I got a little dizzy watching the video ( but enjoyed it very much), lol. I’m sure it’s not cheap but I’ve watched other walking tours on KZfaq which are very steady. It may be a worthwhile investment for you. God’s blessings to you both for safe travels wherever you go :)

Yes, we do have one, but it is not one that does a very good job at stabilizing. Others have better ones, it seems. They are not cheap, and we thought this one was going to do the trick. I could just stand still and video, but it saves time to walk once in a while.

PS Don’t know if you’ve ever been to Gettysburg- very historic but a bit later than the earlier colonial and St Augustine period of course. Pa has lots of history if you know where to look. My family were Quaker’s /descendants of William Penn who settled in Pa.

That's interesting. Thanks for sharing. I've been to Gettysburg, but it's been a long time. Didn't really have time to tour it, as we were basically stopping for the night. I wasn't even married then, so it's been a long time.
