Red Bull Foam Wreckers is back for the folks in Cocoa Beach Florida with a historic surf event & full blown waves & claims! Surfing in central Florida has always been a blast for me. Since competing as a kid Florida has always been a part of my surf life so it's amazing to bring such a fun & awesome event to the beach front in Cocoa, the home of Kelly Slater & share this joy with all these great people! - Ben

I graduated from high school in 1989 .I remember seeing Kelly out there with my friends from high school. One of my friends passed and now,I see this gives me sadness with fond memories.👍🌊🌊👍

Ben has reminding me why I started surfing in the first place. From aggressive "only big wave surfing" to being so excited for a 2 foot shore break. bought myself a wave bandit soft top and never looked back.

Some fun waves for the event. Nice long lines with glassy offshore conditions. Also not too big and not too small for a fun surf contest for all ages and skill levels for the surfing community. Always good vibes at Cocoa Beach. Yewwww!

I only live about 45 minutes from Cocoa Beach. I grew up surfing there, in Melbourne, and in New Smyrna Beach. Every Labor Day like clock work we would always get some waves. It would be dead flat all Summer long, unless there was a tropical system, but then like magic every Labor Day there would be some good to amazing waves, depending on the year. The problem would Florida is that we just don’t get much power in the waves, like they do in the Pacific, so unless the waves are really big and there is something major offshore creating the swell, it tended to be pretty mushy and slow. In the Pacific, it can be 3 to 4 feet and you can still have a blast because the waves are usually still powerful regardless of the size.

I grew up surfing in the caribbean same story. Got to surf pacific waves once, even a foot of whitewater can drag you way back if you dont duck dive. Such a diff, it makes 3-4foot a whole lot of fun.
