When I say that Ezio Auditore is such a beast...he's not just the best character in Assassin's Creed history, but he is one of the best characters ever made. His lore spanned a few games, from him as a teen to him being an old man and master assassin.

The history major knowing nothing about the setting of the game and the gamer knowing nothing about the game. I could play the game once while half asleep and retain more information and I could tell you far more history detail than the "major" did and I'm not even that knowledgeable about it. Hands down the best game in the entire series, a couple of others fall close like Black Flag, but this... this masterpiece of a game is amazing.

That wrist blade doubled as an arm-mounted pistol. And the cross was a representation of the templars, the big baddies of the AC series.

the way that guy said "that's accurate" makes me think he doesn't actually know plate armor was at the peak of it's design in the late 15th century and was, in fact, employed by guards of high station. So, if that was sarcastic, yes, that is quite accurate. No way anything short of a direct hit to the face would kill any of those guys but, it's a game. Damn fun one, too~

I played AC 1 and 2 when I was 18. It was a great game. Year after my dad's gone. My sister was too young to do such things so I, as a statutory heir, had to handle all the family tragedy and protect my mom against fake conplaint and testament. Three years later I lost my girlfriend because I still had to handle the situation. Now I'm 30 and somehow have had a chance to finish Brotherhood and Revelation. Now I really understand the life of Ezio. I cried when Ezio couldn't save Cristina. Great gaming experience and huge respect to the AC writer.

The next one is Assassin's Creed Brotherhood.

I second you guys watching brotherhood and then revelations. One thing I credit the ezio trilogy for doing is them doing the mixture of Italian/English (and in Revelations it’s Italian/Turkish/English). I learned a lot of different words and phrases from playing those three games multiple times. These games, while not 100% accurate, do the best job in making things *just* accurate enough for a feel of authenticity. Granted the series is never consistently historically accurate because it’s based off of the old “Templars vs Assassins” conspiracy (Mujhaideen) and then taken to pseudo science fiction levels lol. Fortunately in these early games the sci fi is not as much as it is now. The early games are also well known for dropping in famous historical figures from that time period you get to interact with. It’s thanks to that I ended up reading on my own the history of Renaissance Italy and the Ottoman Empire, especially around the time when the Ottoman Empire was about to reach its height. That’s as much as I’ll say about it 😆

Love AC2, but what's so surprising with this being 12 years old? This isn't the actual game but a pre-rendered cutscene (like many of the Ubisoft's gameplay 'showcases'). Ubisoft is very good at these, and the actual products usually turn out to be not nearly as awesome ( doesn't include AC2 obviously, still love this game)
