Beat me to it :) Only issue is, it never truely came together for me :( First off, let me say that I was spoiled. I had 4 of the 5 mid sized figures,(one guess on which one I didn't even care to have). Lol I had all of the 3.5 figures but no vehicles, ( weird). I had an A- Team Van but it didn't fit with the small, or medium figures!?! It's not the one you showed in the video. My dad used a knife to cut half of the back door off, so I could fit in a few of the mid sized figures!?! There was no faux glass for the windows but the mid sized figures still wouldn't fit in the front seats. Wtf I no longer have any of the toys but I did take pictures of my mid sized figures, in action poses around the front yard. I still have the photos and the strange sized van is in them. I gotta find those photos to prove I'm not a, "CRAZY FOOL!" like Mr. T would call me I also never had, or even knew about the Action Building you showed in your catalogue adverts. I'm from Canada. Was the Big Building/Base only made in Europe, Australia, Kazakhstan? Lol Somebody please tell me. Any info would help :) Cheers from Canada P.S. I know your awesome channel is toycentric but since we're talking A-Team, I wanted to mention the worst movie/show based card set ever! The Topps A-Team cards were awful! They must have thrown it together quickly, when the show got crazy popular because around half the 66 card set features studio portraits of Mr. T! He looks like he's posing for his high school photos and he's not in a good mood, scowling in most of them. I know he has a ""Bad Attitude" but come on, we deserved better. Can you tell I'm not bitter.lol

Can’t believe I’ve only just found this channel. It’s brilliant. I used to have the metal A Team van with sliding door. Also the helicopter which you put the mini van into and it turned the rotor blades. And congratulations for the best analogy I’ve heard yet. “The ginger step child of toy lines”🤣🤣🤣

This was the first set of figures I had the whole set of (the 6 inch ones). They did have a van in a 6 inch scale, but it was from a company called ERTL and you had to stuff them in through the sun roof since none of the doors opened on it. I remember burying them on a beach when I was probably 5 or so and my folks spent hours digging around to find them for me.

Awesome info! I just spent 30 minutes writing a small novel about that stupid van! Lol The van was too big for the 3.5 inch and not big enough for the mid sized figures!!! I've heard of ertl, so I'm going to do some research. Thanks for helping me on my way! Cheers from Canada

Nice video, well put together (just like one of Hannibal's plans). The 3 3/4" figures were seriously done on the cheap, as they recycled parts from pre-existing toyline(s) in all but the head sculpts, hence the clothing or general colour schemes didn't really match what we were used to in the series. I can see that they went for a different 'colour' for each character (as the Real Ghostbusters would do about three years later), but in particular Murdock in orange always seemed off - make him green instead of B.A. to match his famous jacket, at least (although in fairness, B.A. often wore green overalls in the series). Note that there are variants to be found with both Hannibal and Murdock, that use different torsos (again recycled from older molds). The 6" line was a mild improvement, in at least they had recognisable costumes from the TV series, and the facial sculpts were marginally better (B.A. was the best one, though he was the best seller so I'd imagine they put most effort into him), but the bodies and the overall line seemed somehow bland. The Amy one is very rare as not many were made - Melinda Culea left the series mid-second season and they quickly discontinued her. There is an interesting variant regarding Hannibal's head, which can be found in two versions. One has his hair parting on the correct side (his left), with with slightly poorer sculpt, and often bright white hair. There is also a second version, as seen in this video, with the parting on the other side, greyer hair, but a sculpt slightly more resembling George Peppard. There are also very slight variances to be found on Murdock's head (and some... have orange eyes?!) Galoob also later re-released the four "main" members with different (garish) colour schemes. The large-sized Mr. T doll also came in a "talking" version (the old "pull the cord to hear his voice" thing, that no doubt doesn't work all these years later). Whilst the A-Team was my favourite TV series as a child (all-time favourite even now), it didn't seem well-suited to an action figure line, much due the fact that beyond the main cast, there weren't any recurring characters - in all of the 5 season, not one villain returned for a second go (which I always thought was a real shame), so creating new characters to fill out the line always seemed to be a challenge for Galoob. At very least, I always thought they could have issued figures of Colonel Lynch / Coloner Decker, the Military officers who were in pursuit of the team and appeared semi-regularly in the series. Finally, as with nearly all of the models of the iconic van, the colouring is wrong - the section above the red stripe is actually dark gunmetal gray on-screen (though it is not always evident to the casual eye). ....Uhmm, that's my essay on the A-Team Galoob figures! :)

I had the 3 3/4" figs and the 6" figs. Learning from 1982 release GI Joe figures about thumbs (gave me a reason to get all of '82 replaced with '82.5 figures (swivel arm renditions). When I got the A-Team figs, I realized the thumbs may be prone to breaking. I also had the 6" guys and fondly remember thinking how cool all of their backpacks and accessories were (loved the tool box with all of the tools). The shine wore of the penny as there were no other similar scaled toys for them to interact with. My basement looked like a toy museum. Mego, Big Jim, Star Wars, GI Joe, and a lot of other single year releases based on movie properties.

It’s funny how the brain remembers things. I always thought the 3.75” figures came out after the 6”. My brother and I had all four of the A-Team 6” figures. I remember how loose the legs got on Hannibal, Face & Murdock. B.A. was a pretty good figure though. I loved that toolbox (complete with tools) that he came with.

Loved the A Team figures. Me and my friends all had a full set of 6" figures (apart from Amy). One friend discovered you swap the heads round, which caused much hilarity. I also had the 3 3/4" inch set too. My parents bought me the camp set but tragically got me the tank instead of the van. Big drawback with the tank was it could only sit three figures, instead of four in the van.

Wish I had the full set of 6 inch figures , the Headquarters Building though. Too bad the sculpting wasn't as done as well as G. I. Joe & The Six Million Dollar Man. Hannibal, Amy, B. A. Okay so I had the full team of 3 3/4” figures and the GMC van. The plastic was cheap on the figures as I recall. I remember at least one of their thumbs had broken off. The van was also a very brittle Bakelite plastic. Unfortunately it was destroyed in an accident with a fifteen pound Nylint all steel U-Haul truck which I had sent sailing down my driveway. The poor A-team was just in the wrong place at the wrong time. The van exploded on impact in such a violent and unintentional manner, I can still visualize it, these thirty years later. The pavement was literally peppered with hundreds of sharp, tiny shards of that black plastic. The only pieces left intact were, the roof which had been blown off, and two sets of axels with those cool red wheels. So sad. The figures did survive however, and I went on to play with them for a few more years after that.

Just watched this video again. Given how Galoob was trying to emulate Hasbro's G. I. Joe: A Real American Hero series, its a shame they never thought of negotiating with Marvel for a Crossover miniseries or one shot special between G. I. Joe & The A-Team! Marvel did release a 3 Issue The A-Team Limited Series. Done properly, it might've worked. I imagine it would've been: Either Gen. Joe Colton or Col. Hawk vs. John Hannibal Smith. Ace vs. Howling Mad Murdock, Face vs. Snow Job (he's the conman in the G. I. Joe Team), and B. A. Baracus vs. Roadblock (B. A. is described as a mechanical genius ; Roadblock's essentially a muscleman). And Amy Allen can take on Lady J. Btw, Mr. T noted that the show was specifically developed with him as the star. James Coburn was originally the first actor for the role of Hannibal.

I love it when a cool '80s toy video comes together, yes? I definitely had the 6-inch B.A. figure myself - he was my favourite back in the day, although re-watching the show nowadays, I'm definitely more of a Murdock guy at heart! - and I may well have had at least one more (can't remember which one, though...!); plus I seem to remember having Face's Corvette too at some point - all long gone now, sadly (although I'm sure I still have my A-Team tea-towel lurking around somewhere...!!!). PS: The smile on that Amy Allen figure, though - yikes!!! Looks more like a victim of the Joker's killer laughing gas (now there's a crossover worth thinking about, eh? Shame they never did an A-Team/Knight Rider crossover back in the day, though...imagine B.A. saying something like '...Murdock, you crazy fool! Cars can't talk!'). PPS: Did they do any toys for the 2010 A-Team movie, by the way? (Now there's a modern cult classic for ya! Oh, and speaking of cult classics and the A-Team, check out the Spaced remix of the legendary A-Team theme here at kzfaq.info/get/bejne/hJaAm7N81dDXen0.html - the bloke in the video's definitely on the jazz, right?!).

I had the 3/34 in figures off the A-Team plus the Van, but I loved the show and they mixed really good with my GI Joe toys. They were really cheap and the fingers did break off when putting the guns in their hands. I glued them back on but they were never the same. I found the fan worked better with my GI Joe figures and I would substitute those figures with A-Team figures, I lost those figures soon after.

I’m sure they did a van for the 6” figures as well?? It’s was a more solid plastic without the removable top

I got the 5 6" figurines MOC. Too bad they never made a Corvette and the A-Team van suitable for these 6" figurines :S

I had the 6" Hannibal, Murdock, and BA. I hated them. I never played with them. Biggest mistake: no boy wants a smiling action figure.

Mr. T wasn't unknown at the time. They built much of the series around him which angered George Peppard who felt HE should be the star of the show.

I only got the 3 3/4" ones + Face's 'vette back in the day; and yeah, those sculpts were pretty bad tho' can't remember the plastic being that bad, maybe I wasn't abusive enough to my toys.

Lots of great accessories with that larger set. I used the raft and other pieces for years with G.I. Joe.

Did they fit your figures' hands? They seem a bit skinny.

the have no bad guys….the team needs bad guys to fight. the 3 3/4 toys could fight GI Joe or star wars (now that’s a holiday special of my dreams, mr t and chewbacca) but 6 inch…. rough effort for play without baddies
