Hey guys!
Welcome to another Mortal Kombat 11 video and the first installment of 2020!
I hope you enjoy this episode as Its on a fan favourite that being the insane walking death machine, Baraka!
Now with Baraka being an oldie in the series I will be going all the way back to original timeline and covering his entire background as well as the tarkatans as a whole, this is due to the expansion and slight implied change to their back story as of Mortal Kombat 11!

Did baraka justice in mk11, he is no longer just a jobber but a leader who kares about his people and kulture and wishes to do the best for them but has been blinded by a fanatical adoration for shao kahn that only kaused him and the tarkata pain, and finally breaks out of it. He mah favourite kharakter, i skreamed when he was revealed for mk11.

I honestly love mk 11 due to the better graphics and some of the new characters. Cetrion, the Kollector and Geras are cool as hell. But yeah, for me, old (ish) characters mainly suck. There are a few exceptions such as D'vorah, Baraka, Skarlet, Kano, and Kabal.

Mortal Kombat is one of those fighting games that has really unique characters. Especially guys like Baraka. This dude was literally a mask with fake nails and Wolverine like claws in real life. That's crazy.

@@vengeance1450 They're not, unless it's a fighting game roster. Aside from KI and Darkstalkers I can't thunk of that many games period that feature a playable Werewolf, and same goes for an Onryo(?) Grudge type ghost. This isn't to say games featuring playable Werewolves and Onryo don't exist, I'd just say they're typically a side feature or part of a horror based cast.

I really want to see the sources telling Mileena was a bad ruler. In game she is only criticized for not helping Earthrealm, but Kotal didn´t help them either when Shinnok returned. In MK 11 Kitana seeks the aid of tarkatans, shokan and edenians to fight Shao Kahn and everyone is impressed and she is considered a great Kahn. The problem is Mileena did the exact same thing as a rebel in MKX and she was considered a bad leader. I don´t get

Baraka needs his own chapter in the next game. 1. Because he is fucking badass and 2. because it could provide some much needed depth to his character and expand on the history and lore of his race. I actually like the idea of Tarkatans being cross-bred between "humans" and netherrealm demons. As the implications of this are very disturbing. Shao Khan states in pre-fight dialogue that Tarkatans "are bred to serve." This could help bring a huge air of cruelty to Shao as well as give an explanation as to why he is working so closely with the Netherrealm in MK9. I could imagine him hashing out a deal with Quan Chi for the use of demons in his army; however, he is given a set amount. To counter this, he could force human slaves into breading with these demons, thus creating the Tarkatans.

I've felt that Baraka didn't always get the same level of respect as other members in Shao Khan's army of darkness i.e. Goro, Shiva, Shang Tsung, Quan Chi. It was said by Jade about how Baraka was Shao Khan's guard dog, no real respect but instead referred to as an attack dog serving orders for his master.

I like the idea of him being brought back by Shinnok to assist in the Invasion of EarthRealm and gaining revenge against the Shaolin Warrior Kung Lao.And Baraka seeing Shinnok as a more capable ruler would choose to serve Quan Chi and Shinnok.Baraka would also plot behind Shinnoks back knowing about the extinction of the Zaterrans and knowing he doesn’t want the same fate for his people.

My only beef with this video is that you said Mileena wasn't a good ruler because she enforced harsh and cruel laws. That was kinda the essence of Shao Khan's rule. The difference is that Mileena had no direction. She was just constantly lashing out in every direction. Shao, at least, had some level of diplomacy to his rule...tho, it was still poor diplomacy. lol

@@dr.calibrations7984 I didn't say that Baraka would win I meant he'd be able to put up a fight as he's pretty much wolverine himself minus the healing factor (He is a Tarkatan with superhuman speed, strength and stamina). and he seems a lot like a character wolverine would fight tho like Sabertooth and that chick with the really long sharp nails. Baraka is a better fighter and honestly has better offence imo since he can actually shoot out his sharp bone parts but I agree that he would lose because wolverine's healing is too much for Baraka to handle, wolverine could heal from Baraka's slashes easily.
