me and my dad drove around Europe in one of these in 1994. We camped in the middle of nowhere in Croatia and in the morning the battery was dead, so my dad just took out a crank and hand cranked the engine. We took the back seat out to use as a sofa and the passenger seat for extra storage. It was a great little car.

Thank you very much for posting this. As an American, unfortunately I've not been exposed to the history of these sophisticated, elegant cars. I'm astounded by how advanced they were for their era....I'd say the French were ahead of the Germans in this regard. ....and I myself have strong German heritage!
