Favourite games from each universe: Tiberium: C&C 3 - The idea of a "squad" of infantry instead of a single unit was great, even watching them die one by one. The upgrades for units and buildings pleased the "AoE" geek in me. Instead of two different timelines depending on which faction you chose, we got the same timeline from both parties, and a third faction completely different to the others with its own side of the story was amazing. Red Alert: Red Alert 2: Yuri's Revenge - New bizarre units, new faction at war and a new badass music track to boot! The best sequel to any C&C game. Generals: Generals Zero Hour - Besides the new units and factions, the "General's Challenge" was a great side game, allowing you to test the strength and weaknesses of multiple generals.

C&C and Westwood studios will always hold a special place in my memories... I went to high school across the street from the original Westwood studios in Vegas, they would come over sometimes for tech class and let us check out what they were working on. a small group of us got to go over to their studio every once in a while and see how they do things. great memories, I miss those days greatly. thanks for the video.

Generals is just fine, but can not stand up to the extraordinary acting in the cuts of Tiberian and Red Alert... and the easy funfactor is also not realy given if you take away the quotes from Generals (but as nearly every EA/Westwood C&C had nice quotes that doesnt really count).

It's 2017 and I still like Command and Conquer 3. All C&C were nice, but 3 just combined the essence of all in a HD look, 4 tried too but it doesn't feel the same.

Seeing such an influental genre defining franchise end up as a browser farm simulator is just... really sad. Tiberium didn't meet EA's quality standarts but TA did..? It's like they were deliberetly trying to end the franchise for good.

it was 2005 summer. my step dad at the time had an old compaq laptop always running this game on it. i saw it and was hooked. now i see this video and Red Alert 2 still is the best one!

Same here :) . But tiberian sun had a very unique vibe to it. The tiberium wasteland didn't have the same dark feel (tiberium fauna and sounds) in later installments.

Cl0ckW0rks0 Yeah. I noticed something between Tiberian Sun and Tiberium Wars. Tiberian Sun focuses more on what is happening in the battlefield and atmosphere, while Tiberium Wars focuses more on the story, rather than the battlefield.

SciMan red alert 3 was pretty cool tho, i do quite enjoy it taking a new path instead of its repetitious nature that previous games followed. imo, they did a great job with the balancing and integration of the Empire of the rising sun. and it added in a totally new way to play the game. (not hating on your idea, that would've been really cool had maybe they included the nazi thing with the empire in red alert 3 uprising)

Ben Ehli I can accept your opinion. To me, I didn't get into RA3 until the expansion. Call me weird, but the one thing that really did my head in was you HAD to play with a second person in the campaign. I was more of the "Fight against unfavourable odds" person. When they brought solo campaign into the expansion, I got back to enjoying it.

I strongly disagree, RA3 was the beggining of the end, the new render engine was childish, and a downgrade from the previous, but that i could take, the amount of micro management and starcraft style gameplay I could not, if i wanted that i would just play starcraft . . . C&C4 just kept these 2 tings and increased them even further

Command and conquer red alert 2 and yuri's revenge is the best ones. They need to Take those 2 models and add a bunch of sweet stuff to it. Keep the game play the same. Just improve on it and add new and crazy options/maps. But KEEP THE SAME PLATFORM!

The reason RA2 is my stand out favourite, and probably my overall favourite game of all time, is because the developers got the pace of the gameplay absolutely spot on. In games like Generals and CC3, it took so long to build and destroy buildings, whereas in RA2 you could absolutely level a base with the speed of lightening once you got past the defences. Then there's obviously the fact that the story line is incredible, with great acting performances to really make you feel like the missions mean something, like there are real consequences for success and failure. In most of the other games, I just completed the objectives, not having a clue what the actual story was!

Thankfully there are still great RTS games such as the good ''Grey Goo'', Starcraft 2 and the brand new Homeworld Deserts of Kharak. As great as Command & Conquer is, it is pretty much dead, dead, dead. There is nothing that can take away 17 games worth (well 16) of pure awesome experiences.

I think the irony is, if Tiberian Twilight was ITS OWN SEPERATE universe, like Red Alert 2 onwards, Tiberian series and the Generals series... the game would have been quite well received. But instead, they shoved and shoehorned it into the finale for Tiberian series... effectively killing the primary universe and the entire Command and Conquer franchise. EA did this. This was all EA's doing. Yet another franchise they have gutted in the name of profit.

no wonder when my mega-crossover project treats command and conquer, Red Alert 3 doesn't happen as Psychic Dominator Disaster(altered timeline) are followed by events in Renegade 2 instead of Red Alert iOS game and events following Tiberian sun Firestorm are probably goes into westwood's cnc3

EA and Activision are notorious for reskinning old products and selling them as new.Case and point EA Sports games, Activision has force fed us Tony Hawk Pro Skater, Guitar Hero, Call of Duty etc etc...Gotta make those quarterly numbers to keep investors happy so they can keep making games.

Command and Conquer: Renegade was an awesome concept just needed to be polished... Imagine that was today's gen consoles!? Two friends in a Mammy 1 in a jet or chopper and of course a commando... or a party of four canon fodder infantry men used to stall lol One can dream I guess. Need a mobile game that plays like Sun, Wrath, or Generals... We have the technology (in our pants ;-D)!

EA once a good company, they cared so much to C&C Community they even add many Small Communities but then C&C4 came out and it destroys C&C Fans heart and EA became a greedy company after the release of BF3 and G2 is the Victim

+Timur Makarov Kanes Wrath and Red Alert 3 original was their only success with C&C, as well as Tiberium Wars being alright.

Lol... EA was a caring company until they closed Westwoodstudios, the original developement behind C&C. after that the last true C&C was Tiberian wars. Generals , fine C&C overall, wasn't a real C&C as you had workers in it, C&C4 had nothing to do with C&C at all, let allone Tiberian Alliances. Red Alert 3 tried to get back to the trash-fun of Red Alert and Red Alert 2 but turned out redicioulus and cartoonish instead of stylish trash fun.

Aleksa Petrovic The problem I have with Harry Potter is that I saw the Lord of the Rings movies first and I am really sorry for that and even if the books are well written, I just can not take the whole universe arround a young magican with a lightning like scar on the forhead seriously, sorry. I am well aware, the plot in general is created to appeal to children, but even as a child I felt like the just to direct cater of stereotype mages is to dumb. To make that clear, i also never liked the hat of Gandalf, as it is also way to clichee for a mage of his power... The really only guys I could take somewhat serious (from what I saw) are Severus and the Goblins because they where somewhat true characters...

I want to highlight the comfortable HUD that had RA3 and C&C3. It mixes the classic sidebar with the "click on building" option to get a queue per building instead of a passive bonus to training speed.

I really didn't like how the art style went in Red Alert 2, too goofy, but damn if the game is fun. I'm playing Mental Omega right now. Also Ra3 was a great modding base but, nobody cared.

I appreciate the artstyle and the idea on how they improve the naval strat of red alert 3(which because i always do island hopping strategy) but red alert 3 literally sucks at several angles, i really don't like on how they add "special abilities"....especially the giga fortress

The first C&C will always be my favorite. By far the most challenging, game loved to give you like 5 infantry and be like, 'yeah, go destory that fully built base with Obelisks and Apaches. Good luck!'

Give a modern touch to Red Alert 2 would be enough to be called Red Alert 4. Red Alert 2 art is the best among all. They blend well with reality unlike RA 3 and the rest that looks cartoony...

I swear, stop hating RA3, RA2 is my childhood its my first RTS and my first ever game but as a veteran i don't want any fans to separate the C&C Community, every day we lose another Fan and the number is low enough to make me sad Stop it if you want to hate a game hate C&C4 not RA3 fucking RA2 Fanboys, there are only a few Commentators and KZfaqrs who played the game and the fan base is low already so please respect each other
