I would like to point out that "Damian didn't respect dick at all" seemed accurate at first, but it would turn around much quicker then you make it seem. When the family started to believe Tim that Bruce was alive, Damian started to cry. Not of Joy. He was not happy. He thought that Bruce returning meant dick would go back to being nightwing. Of course he would still be robin but he wanted to work with DICK as Batman. He wanted them to be the dynamic duo together. When Bruce really did return Damian was brattier then ever. The first thing he asked was what would happen to him and dick. He worked with Bruce exactly one time and would not listen because that's not HIS Batman. He barely knew Bruce and although he was his father he was certainly not his PARTNER. It's comparable to barts reaction to barry's return. After that Bruce let them know that dick would continue on as gotham's local Batman with Damian as his robin while Bruce went global working with Batman inc. No complaints from Damian. He wouldn't really start to like Bruce until new 52 fixed their relationship, but it always stuck how much he loved working with dick. "We were the best, Richard"

damian wayne is my favorite Robin, Grant Morrisson may have create him but Peter J. Tomasi did a glorious job with him in Batman & Robin the current Hunt For Robin storyline is awesome too and I hope that he s going to be back at the end of it

How do you define "heir"? I was under the impression that Dick Grayson was the heir apparent to the cowl, the family, and Wayne Enterprises, as the oldest son. Am I mistaken?

Damian became my favorite Robin during the time, I didn't want him to die. I want to see him grow, to be Robin again (Batboy maybe), to become Batman one day and not be like Jason, who died and when he came back he was an adult already.

This is the last vid for the Robin history I'm watching (I've watched the other four already) and I'm just really happy to find this channel as someone's who's beginning to be interested in comics. However, the moment I saw your Rurouni Kenshin/Samurai X shirt, I went crazy XD. That anime is my childhood and the manga (which is the Japanese comics) is a masterpiece. I'm really happy you know about it since for one of the greatest written shounen, it didn't get enough and well-deserved attention and appreciation.

Well, Faust. I REALLY love how in-depth and emotionally attached you are to all of this. It's really engaging, and makes your videos all the more entertaining! Also, I just watched you Flex Mentallo video, and I've never heard of a Chaos Magician before. It sounds really interesting. Personally, I was raised Christian, but I'm not one of those BELIEVE OR ROT IN HELL types. I'd really like to know more about Chaos Magicians.

I just want to correct all of the comments saying that Dick Grayson is Bruce's heir because this is not true. Dick Grayson is Batman's heir meaning that he will become Batman when Bruce cannot be Batman, however he is not Bruce's adopted son he was adopted as a ward. Tim Drake is the only robon adopted as a son becoming Tim Wayne.

Glad you finally got around to covering my favorite Robin. I'm really sad things didn't work out between him and the Titans. I think he could have benefited from being a member of a team if he had been given more time. I hope if he does come back, he gets a second chance with them (that may actually spark my interest in New 52 Titans -___-) How do you feel about this (horrible) rumor that the entire Hunt for Robin arc is more about finally putting Damian to rest than bringing him back and that Batman's actually gonna have a new Robin by the end of this :(

Damian grew to be one of my favorite Robins and this recap made me want to search for the stories that I didn't get to actually read while he was alive. By the way Faust-senpai, would you happen to know the name of the comic where Bruce makes Dick his legal heir? You know, they say they love each other, there's a cool shoot of the contract and everything. I've been looking for it for ages now. Super excited for the next History of. I’m thinking of writing this graphic novel, please tell me what you think: So it takes place in the near future and Damian Wayne is a mix between the Super Sons Damian and Terry McGuines and is in his senior year of high school. This Damian is different because he is older but he also went to Gotham academy, and his best friend is a kid named John White. John is a very disturbed child, and it’s implied that he suffers from schizophrenia, but he has medication, which is the only reason he’s allowed to attend Gotham Academy. Damian promises John that he’ll always be there for him, and encourages him to ask out the girl he likes, Andrea Belmont (in this universe she’s a teenager). Andrea says yes and John takes them to a little jazz club where they dance to “Can’t Take My Eyes Off of You.” It seems that she likes him too, but she is peer pressured over texts by her jock ex-boyfriend, Arthur Reeves, to ditch John, and when John comes back from the bathroom, he doesn’t see her there. John goes outside looking for her, he fins her making out with Arthur. John confronts them, and Arthur gets violent and punches John to the ground, then grabs John’s pill bottle and pours them all over John. Andrea tried to stop her him, and while John’s on the ground, he grabs a piece of broken glass and slashed Arthur’s heel open. John runs away while Andrea screams for somebody to help. Later, John sneaks into Wayne Manor and asks Damian to help him, since he’s being chased by the cops. However, Damian’s moral code is too strong to do this, and he says that he won’t help John. John begs Damian, and in a fit of rage, he grabs a batarang on Damian’s desk and slashes Damian’s eye, causing it to become blinded. John then leaves Wayne Manor just as Bruce runs into the room. A few days later, and Batman still hasn’t found John. Damian is working tirelessly to find him, and Bruce, realizing that his son might be overworking himself, tells Damian to take the night off and go to the graduation football game. While there, he sees Andrea, who is dancing with the other cheerleaders. However, they’re interrupted by somebody who’s hacked into the speakers at the football field. Damian sees suspicious looking men in trench coats enter the stadium. Damian silently leaves the stadium and gets in his Robin uniform. The man is singing “Can’t take my eyes off of you” and Andrea, realizing what was going on, attempts to leave, but is stopped when one of the men in trench coats stops her by pointing a gun at her. John jumps out, revealing himself, and the men in trench coats take the whole stadium hostage while John kidnaps Andrea. Damian fights off the gunmen, but John gets away. However, Damian throws a tracker on the back of John’s truck. Damian gets the bat cycle and goes to Ace Chemicals. When there, he find John has tied Andrea and the workers at the factory to chains and hung them over the chemical vats. Jack starts telling jokes and drops one of the workers into the chemicals, where he has increased the temperature to the point where the only think that resurfaces are the man’s bones. Andrea notices Damian, and distracts John by heckling him, a comedians only weakness. While John is distracted, Damian uses his cable to swing from the crane to land onto the platform while also moving Andrea and the other workers out of the way. Damian and John fight, but John isn’t a trained assassin, so he obviously isn’t capable of fighting him. He almost falls into the chemicals, but Damian saves him by wrapping the cable around John’s leg. John is sent to Arkham Asylum, and through medical records, it’s revealed that he is the son of Jack Napier. Going by the Killing Joke origin of the Joker, it’s shown that although the cops had half-lied to Jack Napier, because although John’s mother died in childbirth, the hospital was able to save the baby. Since nobody could find Jack Napier after his stunt as the Red Hood, John was sent into the system. The comic ends with John being reunited with the Joker, and the Joker mentors John while in Arkham, ensuring that the Joker will live on through John just like how Batman will live on through Damian

Nothing against you, I love your videos, but I feel the need to comment on this. It really bothers me from a grammatical stand point when when you describe characters' backgrounds cause you constantly use the word "would". You're using passive future perfect tense instead of just past tense and really grates on me. Guess I'll just have to learn to live with it....

That is one of Batman's children! He had Damian with Catwomen after they got married! Damian is destined to be the next Batman or Robin to help Tim Drake which Batman had with Batgirl!
