DC didn't actually acquire Captain Marvel until the 90's. Up until that point they were paying for the license to use him

Personally, in regarding the major villain of the "SHAZAM!" franchise, "Dr. Sivana," I would think that the one actor who would play him, that is, if there were to be a rebooted "SHAZAM!" TV series, would be Armin Shimerman, the man who played "Quark" of "Star Trek: Deep Space Nine." After all, Shimerman can handle both the deviousness and humor of "Dr. Sivana" in taking "Captain Marvel," I mean "SHAZAM," I mean who am I kidding for?
