Not just forced out of your home but also having your people’s culture and very identity suppressed and erased by the same evil that forced you out of your rightful home in the first place.

Young women like Tasheama are warriors and true American Hero’s for telling the American. truths. Using TikTok and every platform to tell Navajo and Indian history, and the tragedy experienced by First Nations is the most effective way to expose the evils their people experienced. Her information is essential for this country and her Nation to fully heal, and so is She!

@@lilakibler2762 People DO talk about the 'bad side' of American history. Its filled with the horrible treatment of African slaves. Of their oppression. Of their eventual freedom. Nothing is said of the systematic genocide, nor the continued oppression of Native Americans.

We all suffer with the loss of native culture and understanding. Last year I took a class in Navajo rug weaving, learning to construct a loom, spin wool, and finding the plants to use as dyes. We must preserve whatever knowledge still exists. We must treasure and support the First Americans.

This is why so many of us find out now that we have native blood. It was judged a “shameful” secret that should be hidden. I found out about mine in 2012 and I couldn’t be prouder. I somehow always knew inside. Peace

My mom still cant go out into the sun for long periods due to a process known in the 50s as "washing away the red". It essentially was when parents (white grandmother in this case) were putting their kids in literal bathtubs full of bleach and soaking/scrubbing away for hours. To this day she gets hives being out in the sun for more than 10 minutes without heavy sunscreen.

Here in Canada, 1323 lost native souls have been found in mass graves or unmarked graves, at churches/residential schools. There’s more to be found. North America is soaked in the blood of our native ancestors. 🧡😢🧡

My mom went to boarding school. She said it was alright but she thought about things that didn't make sense until she was an adult. One of her teachers checked the girls underwear to make sure it was clean, it was a man. For those of you in the Phoenix area INDIAN SCHOOL ROAD is named that for a reason, my mom went to school in Phoenix.

Most of the people on tiktok doing this aren’t actually Native American and just care about the views and clicks. That’s why there are people disliking this. Everyone knows tiktok people don’t actually care and just jump on the next trend. It’s almost as bad as when they pretended to be Holocaust survivors. If you want to actually learn about these events in history do so from a creditable source not a social media app that begs for attention. Constant your local Indian affairs bureau and ask if they have any books or information, talk to museums or college/university professors who study this for a living. Real sources not tiktok who are just exploiting it for fame.
