Serbia has always been a proud nation with long and glorious past. It played a very crucial roles in preventing the spread of Turkish imperialism to the West. I wish to learn more on this mystical yet beautiful and lovely people including paying a visit to the whole of Serbia one day. I have kjown and read about the Serbs and Serbia even during the Yugoslavia era. Having met few Serbs, one was Seslija Milomir who played international soccer in my country and having read few stories and novels on several great Serbians like Tesla, I feel attached to this ancient people like I am with the Jews. My study of Christiajity especiallybthe Orthodox Church led me deeper into reading more and more about the Serbs and their past. It's astonishing and I have never stopped ever since. When the war broke in the 1990s I felt great injustice have been done to these people. I do agree that no one single ethnic or state should be blamed for the trgaedies that occured. Latest book by Michael Parenti ' To Kill A Nation: Attack on Yugoslavia' is a big eye opener for me in fact a long awaited fair and genuine accounts of what had happened instead of accepting the versions fabricated by the Western medias. In all of jy conversations with friwnds from Bosnia, Slovenia, Serbia and Albania, I understand many truth that have never been brought to the light. Despite being singled out as the 'butcher' in this war, it is Serbia that have lost so much, victimized by the Western medias and have lost most of it land, and cultural heritage (which I believed must have been destroyed by the non Serbian nations that now being given the part of the land belong to the Serbs). Serbia will always remain in my heart. It is one of the most friendly people I have ever met and the most beautiful landscape and countryside I have ever seen as I was born in a countryside. I hope and pray that one day the world will know the truth and the Serbian people will be seen not as an aggressors but a people who deswrve respect, love and recognitions just like any other nations in the world. May God keep Serbia strong, prosperous and united.

Great video. You failed to mention a couple of things. 1. the slavs did not come in 6 century to the balkans. Instead they were created by mixing haplogroups I2 (predominant in the balkans) with haplgroup R1a (dominant in Russia and Poland). This is why a lot of Ukrainians have I2 haplogroup. 2. you failed to mention the dynasties before the Nemanjic one - most notably Svevladovic, Vlastimirovic and Vojinovic. otherwise great video. +1

Old slavic alphabet and latin alphabets are just the versions of vinchan letters. Serbian people are a mix of indigenous people of Lepenski vir culture ( 12000 years ago) and Slavs who came centuries before Christ. We are indigenous people of Europe and we have a halpogroup to prove it- I2a din

Following the data mentioned above, I think that the ethnicity of the Nemanjids should be sought among the other indigenous peoples of the Balkans. The biblical name Naman in the original, without any change, is found today only among Albanians, so I think that Nemanja was of Albanian ethnicity from Rasa, where even today that region is known for its high quality marble stone rasas. It is known that the Old Slavic Glagolitic script has its origin and center in Ohrid during the Bulgarian rule. This script was created by Cyril and Methodius after the second half of the 9th century. There are many scholars who think that Cyril and Methodius were of Jewish ethnicity. The Bulgarian nobles together with the autochthonous nobles ruled Kosovo from the middle of the 9th century until the beginning of the 11th century, and the Byzantine Empire until the last decade of the 12th century, when again the local nobles came out to rule from time to time these three years until the definitive occupation of Kosovo by the Ottoman Empire in the 15th century. From these data we understand that the beginnings of the ethnic formation of the Serbs should be sought parallel to the beginnings of the falsification of the historiography of the Balkans under the influence of Russian Pan-Slavism, and of Serbian literature that begins with Vuk Karadjik's dictionary in the 19th century. From these data we come to the conclusion that the world historiography and in particular the Albanian historiography does not dare to support the opinion of the formation of the Serbian kingdom and the Serbian Orthodox Church in the 13th-14th century, when it is known that the 19th century is taken as the century of the formation of the nations in the Balkans . In the Hebrew language, the root of the word faith, "Emunah" is Amen. The use of "Amen" as a word that came from the time of the Bible, symbolizes an agreement or adaptation, an expectation from oneself that one undertakes. "Amen" means taking personal and collective responsibility that is beyond an ideological agreement. "Amen" holds the conclusion of an agreement for a future dialogue between the three religions. The question is added, does this word apply today to us Albanians!?😮

Illyrians didnt exist. That was the name given to a couple of indo European tribes that lived in the Balkans before tou arrived there. Also the most powerful illyrian tribes come from modern day Bosnia and Dalmatia. They live in the entire Balkans and have nothing to do with Serbs or your culture..

This video conveniently left out the truth about who the Serbs really are. The Serbian president Slobodan Milosevic was the first head of state to be found guilty of genocide, war crimes, crimes against humanity and ethnic cleansing. The video didn't mention the fact that Serbs have about 70% Turkish blood and 25% Gypsie blood. Serbs started the Balkan wars when they tried to create a greater Serbia, by taking land from Bosnia, Croatia and Kosovo. The truth is, Serbia should be ashamed of it's history. It was under Turkish control for about 500 years, in that time every single Serbian woman had children with the Turks so the original Serbs don't exist any more.

the richness of ones history is not its fame, but the ability of its people to create something distinctive by themselves. England, France, Germany they all have famous history, but that history started only when ROME came to their land, civilizing them , giving them language and church. the Serbs on the other hand had not such help from outside. We were under occupation of ROME with most of the legions on our borders and yet we managed to create our own church, customs, literacy that is distinctive and not so Romanocentric as those I mentioned. and lastly, I would like to see other nations being under the Ottomans for so long and yet preserving their culture as pure as it was a milenia ago. and yes, people do know what Serbia is and who Serbs are. there are only 10 million of us in the World, but there is no nation of similar size with such an impact in World's history, literature, art, science and sports.
