Grouping two different countries together like that can only be done in a “weird way”. Poor New Zealand, nothing makes them prouder in sport than to beat an Aussie so seeing their player thrown in with Australia is rough. As an Australian I am happy to accept the few quality sports people NZ produces, as one of my countrymen 😂 But seriously, a very thorough video. I don't think Australia ever really got behind squash like we did tennis. I bet even older Australians that don't play squash won't know who Heather Mackay is. Many courts have closed down over the years but there are still some and there are ex-pros coaching kids so hopefully we can see another Aussie rise to the top soon. With squash’s inclusion in the upcoming LA games it will hopefully draw attention to the sport and if we keep it in the Olympics in 2032 when they are held here in Brisbane it might inspire more kids to commit to the game.

In my opinion, the best squash players are man - Jansher, woman - Sherbini. Though Jahangir had unbeaten 5 years run, there were stronger players surfaced since 1987 where both the Khan had to face, therefore neither could achieve such unbeatable feat again. Many said Jahangir was better than Jansher including Rodney Martin. I agree than Jahangir was better but only if we compare Jahangir and Jansher of pre 1993. In 1993, Jansher had fully transformed into a better attacking player. He was on another level since then.

@@intention4726 I can't find your reference ( though that might be the fault of my failing vision). Regardless.... are you unaware of the profound distress of Kiwis when their ( admittedly usually minor ) accomplishments are lumped in with Australia's? I'm betting you haven't branded John White as "English"? I don't know how to put in the emoji's that would indicate my grateful delight with your video and that my complaint is cheerful joking.... so I'm using words. Thanks ;-)

No mention of massive support at government level in Egypt,if I am not mistaken from Hosni Mubarek and others. Also massive cash injection from within Arab world.
