HISTORY OF THE UNITED STATES Volume 3: Foundations of the Union and National Politics by Charles Austin Beard (1874-1948) and Mary Ritter Beard (1876-1958) - FULL AudioBook | Greatest AudioBooks - Charles Beard was the most influential American historian of the early 20th century. He published hundreds of monographs, textbooks and interpretive studies in both history and political science. He graduated from DePauw University in 1898, where he met and eventually married Mary Ritter Beard, one of the founders of the first greek-letter society for women, Kappa Alpha Theta. The History of the United States is divided into 7 books:
Volume 1: The Colonial Period - • History of the United ...
Volume 2: Conflict and Independence - • History of the United ...
Volume 3: Foundations of the Union and National Politics - • HISTORY OF THE UNITED ...
Volume 4: The West and Jacksonian Democracy - • HISTORY OF THE UNITED ...
Volume 5: Sectional Conflict and Reconstruction - • HISTORY OF THE UNITED ...
6) National Growth and World Politics
7) Progressive Democracy and the World War
In 1921, Charles and Mary Beard published their textbook: History of the United States. A contemporaneous review stated: The authors... assume enough maturity in...students to justify a topical rather than a chronological treatment. They have dealt with movements, have sketched large backgrounds, have traced causes, and have discussed the interrelation of social and economic forces and politics. All this has been directed to the large purpose of helping the student to understand American today in all its national characteristics and as part of world civilization as well. The literary style is exceptionally clear and crisp, and the whole approach...is thought producing. As a textbook or handbook for the average citizen it ranks with very best.

very sad that the crop of voluntary readers is so thin as to compel me to skip over a large section of vital history. Why not have a tidbit of quality control and not wreck a large portion of this great public service. Is our history worth so little?

This is about law and these are the men who invented this democracy, It's not perfect but it tries not to leave a trail of dead bodies behind it at the same time rules for the punishment of cheaters need to be far more painful, and yet enjoyable to watch. As it has always been in this great country, we are slow to create justice in the face of Tyranny, and it seems that the richer and more popular the criminal is, the longer and more drawn out his hangman's rope, the rich have the most knots and cry about each one as they are slowly twisted onto the noose one knot for each crime committed, by these spoiled old men and women. who have abused this system of greed and money they created as it was handed to them with the promise of control of the masses, killing our people as they work for themselves only. so secure in their popularity, no matter how many times they need to buy it ! Finally, in France, the blade fell and the Kings, Queens, and the richest of CEOs in that great nation were without heads! and I'm not talking about, of state. oh, how grand a video projector would have been then! That we may play it for our current criminals to enjoy. Yes, the women also were beheaded, the queen her last words were "Let them eat cake" she may have said more but for the gurgles as her head bounced over her king's head. Thus the reason why we love France so much.

48:33 Section 4: This woman has zero business self-selecting herself as a volunteer to read. Her command of the English language and phonetics is dismal and sloppy. Total mush-mouth. To maintain sanity, I’ve skipped all of her reads thus far. 🤯 Volunteers should NEVER get a pass on a bad job. I believe all volunteers, no matter the task, should feel honored for their opportunity to serve.

I love this project and have really enjoyed listening to it ... .until I got to this segment. This woman should be banned from ever being a narrator again in the English language! She single-handedly has the power to turn a history student away from this fantastic project through her ineptitude at speaking.

The native warriors taught all Americans New and effective techniques for war so powerful were these lessons we honor them with their names on our greatest instruments of war, They also opened our consciences and its powers which we honor we are not awake yet! For our true selves are the Most Important of things in each of us, as we advance as a species if we heed this call of knowledge of a warrior's true HEART and Open mind (to love and fellowship). One with the one of the universe is each being's true self's goal! simply sitting still and slowing down the mind, the door to knowledge is open to all. Every human being's mind is connected to every human being's mind, We are all one with the Lord.
