Michigan (#4) was favored in the 1978 Rose Bowl against Washington (#13) by 14 points. Washington won that matchup 27 to 20. That was 45 years ago. Four plus five equals 9 which is the number on the uniforms of both QBs in this national championship.

If Washington wins this, you could make a movie about DeBoer from the time he got his first coaching job until he ascends all the way up to winning the National Championship. This year's close wins in so many games, and all the personal stories about Penix etc., reminds me of a movie like Hoosiers.

Go Blue! 🏆💍🌹〽️🔵 I wish i could've found this video before the game. Huskies football coverage is really hard to find. The PAC12 only looked like the toughest conference because no one plays defense and the teams are soft. Washington this year might be the 5th best team in the B1G. Seriously. This is the issue with homer sports media. They are too busy smelling their own farts to be objective.

No worries, if you beat Michigan, you will have beaten the team that took the SEC out. It was clear that Michigan was faster, stronger, more physical and better coached than Alabama. So that would be my rebuttal. Michigan is better than the SEC champion.

Texas thumped Alabama and UW beat Texas. Michigan got lucky in OT against Bama.

@@johndavidlatta8192I’m a Husky, but this is wrong. Neither team got luck, it took skill to close these games out. Now, Bama absolutely made a poor call on 4th down in OT, but skill allowed UM to make that 4th down play to eventually tie the game, and skill to not allow a safety at the end. That said, UW I believe, wins this by double digits.

I hardly ever listen to these guys anymore. They were entertaining, but now their routine is old. Plus they have not only too much advertising, but it is in poor taste with Brock asking us to help poor little Esmarelda and the next minute Salk is telling me we don't talk enough about steak.

I retired from Seattle and moved to eastern Washington to homestead along the Idaho wa Canadian borders but still couldn’t get away from the oppression of King, Pierce and Sno Counties…just to get our private land logged had to be checked off by 40 different agencies and even the “local” Indian tribe that was an hours drive away. It got no go’ed due to water run off issues…then the gun ban hit. The family picked up and moved to a holler in West Virginia. I was looking at ND but those winters in Pend Orrielle County did us in. We compromised on the winters versus other environmental hazards like tornados and hurricanes. Good luck in the move!
