rashmi rashmi There is a tradition behind it. The leaf with Head is served for the most important person, Imagine one big banana leaf can serve 3 people for lunch by cutting it into 3 parts, If a person gets head part of the leaf and the other the middle part it will not go down well with other relatives, Hence all leafs will be with head part. Second, after completing the food, if a person rolls the leaf from up to down, it means he likes the food or that this festival should continue. If on the other hand if a person rolls the leaf from down to top, it means the food is not good or that this food should not be served, for example if there is a death in the family and food is served, such way of closing the banana leaf should be followed.
