Thee more I read of him, the more I like him. I first heard of him as the Central Bank Governor. The changes he made in Central Bank caught my admiration. His stance for truth is the prize he has paid for most of his life. I will continue to pray that God grant him wisdom, mercy, blessings and strength. He is one of the unsung Nigerians we know little of. His warnings of economic decay and incivility several years ago are what Nigeria is seeing today.May he overcome all his persecutions for his stance, in Jesus name, Amen.

The documentary you’re listening to now is not of the present Emir Sanusi but that of his grandfather. Though the present Sanusi made some changes in central bank but the main radical changes in central bank was done by governor Soludo the present Anambra governor. He introduced the amalgamation of banks in Nigeria to avoid bank liquidation and when Soludo took over central bank he continued with Soludo achievements.

Nice documentary. I will advise that your Narrators learn the proper pronunciations of names, titles, and places contained in the script. Its extremely easy to reach out to a native speaker to teach your narrator(s) the proper pronunciation of these names. Great job, nonetheless. I can help with Nupe, Hausa, and Arabic names, if you wish.

Wow. 😮. History repeats itself as his grand son, Sanusi Lamido Sanusi was also dealt with the same fate. It seems non conformity and independent mindedness is a living trait in the Sanusi family. 😅. Nice documentary. Those who don't learn from history are bound to repeat it. That's exactly what happened to Emir Sanusi Lamido Sanusi. The power tussle over the Kano emirate isn't over, it would appear.

Congratulations to the Emir of Kano HRH Sanusi Lamido Sanusi for his re-enthronement. He is a leader I like a lot even from his days as CBN Governor. Lessons to learn: 1. Nigerians don't learn from history (or we don't know history at all). All participants of these power plays were affected. This was one of the reasons why January 1966 coup happened. For the coup plotters; deposing, killing or even arresting respected leaders (Sardauna, Tafawa Balewa, Brigadier Mai Malari, Col Pam, Col Kur, Col Abogo Largama etc can lead to violence (counter coup in July 1966 and Civil war in 1967) 2. Our communication and dialogue skills are quite bad and ruling by proxy is still happening in Nigeria (political god fatherism) All couldn't sit down, talk as adults and resolved the issues? Just imagine. Sardauna not communicating well with Prime minister (A big decision like that ought to be discussed at least between Sardauna and Tafawa Balewa not Sardauna imposing decisions on him. The January 1966 coup plotters also mentioned this approach of Sardauna ruling the country and Tafawa Balewa is only occupying the seat. That's why Balewa was not initially planned to be killed. They just needed him to handover to Awolowo after his release from Benin Prison. 3. Nigeria's ruler are too flashy and power drunk. Kilode!!! I hope we can learn a lot from our history and work towards a better country. Well done to this channel. All these are not taught or talked about sef. Some of us know some of our history because we read history books.

I understand your logic but the truth is Ahmadu Bello though a visionary leader was a bit undiplomatic with the traditional Northern elite and religious elite and tended to smite them down... That made him exposed, perhaps making the coup plotters think that getting rid of him wouldn't not upset the Northern elite since he was a nuisance to them... With historical hindsight we know that's not the case

It's not a Jihad, it's a reform movement. Before the Usman Dan Fodio reform movement Kanem Borno has succeeded in spreading Islam. However, some converts in the Hausa states continue to mix traditional religion with Islam. Hence, the motive for the reform movement; to cleanse the religion.
