I'm pleased to hear you mention Birmid or Birmid Industries the huge Smethwick based foundry group often referred to locally as 'The Birmid' they merged with Qualcast in 1967 forming an even bigger group. I doubt if anyone at the BCLM as ever heard of it!

I am a Black Country bloke from Wednesbury. Born in 1930s my family all worked hard here. Great spirit. Get real not true. We have been let down by untruths, weak politicians. Tlmid Wokes or whoever name they call them I loved my days in Black Country. Just speak as real Black Country .know it. Every time it's bloody immigrants. I day see many coming when the war was on. This is my country, treat and talk about it as it was

Sounds in a way like US in 2022, however yes the arrivals are generally accepted locally if indeed there is enough housing and resources made for all. Thanks for this documentary.

Barely any comments of any sort, and haven’t you got to watch it yourself to know? Easily led.
