Today let's check out the exciting reveal from Iron Studios of their 1/10 scale Joker statue. I was so excited to see how this statue turned out, and I have to say I'm really impressed. I think the pose and overall art direction is spot on, but I still think these are over priced! What do you think of this one collectors?

💯 hit for me!! I’ve been looking for a 1/10 scale comic based Joker and this is it! You’ve inspired my collection Chris and I’m doing what you’re doing with your 1/3 scale... “Batman surrounded by his villains”😊. Though mine is 1/10 based. I feel the price is justified. The details on this base is fantastic! Yeah sure prices are on the rise... but isn’t everything else? Licenses are costing more,materials are going up,shipping costs going up.... so to stay afloat companies have to pass on some of that to the consumers right? So you know Harley is coming up next!😂

Absolutely 💯 hit. With the quality and the scale (plus a bank of reward points that shaved the price down to $114 for me). I’m rapidly running out of shelf real estate, so 1/10 is definitely right up my alley. Agree with you that I hope we don’t continue to see steady price creep... that does have me worried. But when I look at the detail on this specific base and all the accessories on this, the price seems pretty fair. Plus the quality on this new Iron Studios piece is 👌👌👌👌. They captured the Clown Prince stunningly. Sculpt, paint apps, base, and accessories are all home runs here.

PS - Love the selection for these specific head sculpts. Classic, Death of the Family, and Endgame... definitely a lot of Snyder/Capullo love here, which makes perfect sense since they collectively redefined the character for modern DC. 🤘🦇🃏🤘

I have the deluxe version on preorder, a soon as I saw it I thought it looked amazing. I’m ok with the price point, I try and keep to $200 and under, I do have a few over $200 though but it’s a rare occasion. Great review, loved it

First of fantastic vid, recently subscribed and have a bunch of your past vids on my "watch later" list so I can catch up. I actually preordered this earlier today. I did the $170 version just for that 3rd head sculpt. Big fan of the new 52 storyline and reminds me of the death in the family. I agree the price is pushing it and would have loved $150 and drop the #2 head sculpt personally. But im excited to get it, I think the prices on the DC and marvel stuff does seem to be on the rise though

I used to collect 1/10 scale , but after you buy 3 of them I realized that you could just as well buy a bigger statue that looks much better. Tweeterhead for me is the perfect example of a company with good price points, like there new superman is a amazing statue with good size for under 400 $ and it competes with some 1/4 scale statues I have seen.

Iron Studios has definitely upped their prices to the point where I might as well get a hot toy. I mean A couple of years ago I purchased the infinity war thanos 1/10 from Iron Studios for $170 and it's a beautiful piece with a huge base and and rather large because thanos is large. How is this piece the same price. Or like their new Scarlett witch at $199 I mean i'll just get the wanda vision scarlet witch at that point. I mean i know it's a matter of preference. But their pricing is all over the place. I bought their Voldemort statue for $100 beautiful piece.

I’ll be honest. I thought some of the price points for these 1/10 scale pieces were high initially also. Then I saw Iron Studios Cable and Killer Croc up close and was blown away by the detail. I have many 1/6 scale statues that were only 30-50 dollars more but put to shame by Iron Studio’s sculpting. I’ll pay more for detail over scale every time. 👍

I’m relatively new to the collecting game, but even I see the crazy spreads in prices from companies and even within a single company. You can get this 1:10 Joker for $130, but the upcoming 1:6 Tweeterhead Joker maquette is $580-$600. I don’t see how the jump from those sizes justifies more than 4X the money. I certainly understand how large 1:3 premium pieces with that much material and workmanship can run to the prices I see on them, but I can’t see spending around $600 plus tax and shipping on a 1:6 piece even as great as it looks. In my opinion they seem to be pushing the boundaries of what they can take in on 1:6 and smaller pieces. I’m guessing the largest portion of their customers shop in this realm so I’d hope they tread these waters carefully. That’s just my two cents anyways. Great review sir!

@@BatmanStatueCollector I did go ahead and do a preorder on the base version of this Iron Studios Joker. I had a 10% off so at that price I was kind of ok with it. I had considered the deluxe version, but at this scale a $40 premium on two heads, a hat and the smoke effect just didn’t seem to be a good value in any way. I’d love to have the Tweeterhead 1:6 Joker, but feel it’s overpriced by a good $150.

I love DST but this is far more detailed. It is a bit pricey, you can get some DC Collectibles in 1/6 scale for that type of money, but again - the design is just insane. I preordered it, although I don't collect 1/10 scale

Definitely love that the outfit looks like it's from Dark Knights Metal. That's the only place I remember him having the blue tie with that haircut.

Great points Chris! I want this piece and I like Iron studios 1/10 for what they are. But the prices for these are creaping up faster than I'd like unfortunately. No longer an economic choice if you're collecting a set of these.

$150 is more reasonable, $20 per extra head is too much. Still way better than the X-Men pricing, would be $180 in that line without any switchouts.

Another pretty impressive 1/10th scale piece from Iron Studios. Although,130 bucks seems a tad pricey for what It is. I certainly wouldn't entertain paying more than that, especially, as you say, Diamond Select knock these things out at around 50 bucks. I'd be much more comfortable if the price point was set at around 100 bucks max. As always, It will boil down to individual taste, desire for the character, overall concept and execution. The exclusive would be a miss as I'm not keen on either of the portraits but overall It's a hit.

I highly agree on the price. It cost a bit too much for the 1/10 23cm statue. I honesly am not sure If I should pre-order the normal ver. or the deluxe one...cuz like I don't give a damn about the hat or green gas and the head with Joker's old school vibe doesn't taste my fit very well. On the other hand I'm a huge fan of Death Of The Family head, but is it at this point even worth it? And I honestly don't think that I would even change the heads very often so...what's your opinion?

Price is a miss. So if its $180 for the exclusive, add taxes, fees, and shipping and your over $200. I'm waiting for the tweeterhead. I personally don't mind paying extra for a bigger piece.

Think the price point is more less normal. Up to 180 for a 1/10 depending on the quality wouldn't say it's exaggerated.

Same for me, I think is more less normal. The Marvel Premier Statues from Kotobukiya that are a 1/10 scale are around 170 $ and no interchangeable parts. Then you see other scales like 1/8 or 1/6 and some of the prices are insane.

I hear you on price...I have been picking up all the Iron Studios 1/10 X-men line...They are all like $150 and up...I think they increased the price because of the work that goes into the fancier bases...I feel the recent price increases right in my wallet....If they continue to go up in price....I will prolly stop collecting 1/10th...Ordering 2 X-men with shipping and tax is like $400 so, you better be careful Iron Studios.

I love 1/10 scale. You can fit them easier, and they still look great. With that being said.... $120 without an elaborate base. $150 with a great base. That should be the tops. I do hope Iron Studios keep doing the cool bases though.

It’s weird: 1/4 and 1/3 pieces look smaller on video than in person, and these 1/10 pieces look bigger on video than in person. When I read the official measurements, I was stunned. Looks good if you collect this size. But since I don’t, and never will, it is a hit-miss.

Love all those head sculpts. But I agree, the price point seems kind of steep. If I’m saving up that kind of money to buy a statue, I might as well save a little more and get a 1/6 or 1/4 scale. But if I strictly collected 1/10, I would definitely get this one!

Looks nice. I have some 1/10 scale pieces but I'm not buying any more due to the prices now. The 1/10 scale pieces from Iron Studios used to be $100-$105 but at $170, no.

I dunno, think this ones a miss for me. Just not feeling it, especially at that price. But that "skin-mask" is probably the best thing going for it. This does remind me a lot of Capullo Joker though.

You should see the price of these in the UK. This will be around £230 GB Pounds at least and that translates to 320USD.

Yeah i ended up with buyers remorse on the 1/10 dark knight batman. Its a nice enough piece but totally overpriced at £200. That said i paid around the same for the 1/10 thanos and even less for the earlier thanos and do think they were worth it

I think this is way too expensive the price creep is ridiculous it's the size of an action figure I would never pay that price, put the money towards a 1/4 or 1/3 statue

i really think that they need to stay under $150. i can see more for a much larger 1/10 scale piece, but i think we are partly paying for the iron studios name. thats where the extra money comes into play.

It looks awesome!! To bad I don’t get that scale. Less monies is always best but I don’t really question ppl or companies for what they ask for there pieces there is always going to be buyers. If it’s to much or you don’t like you don’t have to buy ... stick to toys! Lol 🙌
