Inside the Ex1200 digging a mix of clay and rock in a 6 meter cut.
8.8 yard bucket loading 773 ridged trucks, it has roughly the same sized bucket as a cat 385 but has almost twice the stick digging power.

Wow. I got on the first 1100 hitachi in Western Australia in the 90s. Compared to pc1000 it was like a Mercedes.

How can I get a job like this? I have 25 years of experience and just want to operate the bigger machines. I'm retired now but miss the operations of the big excavators.

if you dumped all the dirt in the truck instead of on the ground i bet it wouldnt take so long to load. all the paint knocked off the side of the bed. if you worked for me and i saw you do that i would fire you on the spot.

First of all, I am a dozer operator by trade...second, this was my first time running the 1200 after a year without really operating any size hoe. Not to mention its a five meter cut and the trucks are far away and I'm scared of heights. Also im one of the supervisors on this site and I filled in for the operator for an hour, while doing so I filmed it and it turned into a two part video. If I worked for you, you would of been aware of everything I just informed you about and would of had a different comment. I barely get to run equipment anymore and yes I am very rusty, but I do what is needed to keep some type of production rolling.

I see that this comment is a year old, but that doesn't change the fact that you're a douche. He did a fine job loading trucks. If he needs some help being a little more efficient, you don't fire him, you teach him. You seem like a Mr. KnowItAll, but really probably can't run anything anyways. If I had a foreman/superintendent like you working for me, I would put you back in your place and have you stop treating people like crap. Now get back to work.
