I would love to see a Steely Guide to hex crawls. I know a lot of people don't like them but I have always enjoyed the exploration aspect of D&D.

Awesome vids! I’m a relatively new DM and this has been some great advice! I’m letting one of my players be a centaur for this module and them climbing was a bit of a concern but I found a way around when they won hide and seek in the pixie kingdom and by chance got the spider climb plushy. I tweaked it a bit so they can instead use it three times and it’s been very amusing for everyone playing on how they move through awkward spaces lol

The key simply fell out while the balloon was being tossed about. Sir Talavar saw a goblin on a hilltop pick it up. Or. Part of Jingle Jangle's curse causes lost keys to find their way into her hands.

I play as a dm for the first time and my party today just entered into Hither! There I gave my players a long rest as they fall asleep/unconscious after they traveled through the mirror - at that point a pixie paid a visit at our feylost background sorcerer giving some tips for the three rules of Prismeer. When they finally got down the queens way they came across the harengon brigands and quickly got involved into fight without a second thought when Jebbek demanded to give her their memories! However, they befriended the snail, killed a couple of harengons, sleep the rest, and moved on as the waters started to rise again taking away the harengons affected by the sleep spell! They also loot the gourd although they do not understand yet what it actually is for.... I also find it interesting that they can use the snail to move easier through the swamp! After having discover an o'-well and exchanged some trinkets with the will-o'-wisps they finally reached the slanty tower. There, despite Sir Talavar's warnings, our paladin rushed to reach the basket unsuccessfully, making the two snakes to wake up! Luckily our Yun-Ti managed to calm them down and they got rid of them after the sorcerer's successful deception that Bavlorna sent them to replace the snake's task! They had a small talk with Sir Talavar and they are about to help him open the cage! We had a lot of fun and we are looking forward to the next session!

To try and kind of keep the campaign moving (since we’re all adults and can’t play for more than a couple hours once a month) I emphasized how even when things felt days away it only took hours to get there. So distance is not as it’s perceived in the material plane. This also allows me to let good ideas like using a creative spell to hit even when it wouldn’t otherwise.

Definitely going to try Hex-Run style, although I’m still working on figuring it out properly!

I had made it so bavlorna gave the key to jingle jangle and it was a bit of find the key in the hay stack to free sir Tavalar.

thinking about scaling this adventure, and running it with some twists within my campaign where the party is currently level 12

is this series going to continue? I noticed it stopped before yon and hasn't picked up again it seems IA'd really appreciate it I can't be the only one....

I would rly like the hex crawl video, i like to watch the live, but i prefers these straight foward "begind the dm screen" type of videos.

With the abandoned raft I did a Harengon who was left to look after the raft had fallen asleep while low tide and when high tide came in he and the raft got dragged downstream and he offered a good favor and a bag of trinkets if helped out getting the raft back upstreams, which lead to a chance to avoid peacefully the brigand tollway fight.

My party had a player drop out. Since they need to find the scarecrow, might as well add a tin man ally (animated armor encounter).

I watched a couple of your short clips, explaining D&D races. Now, I am interested. Where can I start learning abput D&D? I am a total beginner.

Honestly, I just don't explain why jingle jangle has keys, she just does, she has a key for every lock, door, chest and I even gave hee a spell jammer key. Something about the Feywild I like is "its just weird Fey shit" because, yeah it is. The Feywild doesn't need answers to questions because anything can happen. Laws and rules only happen when an archfey imposes it. This is another reason why the rules are able to be broken. With Iggwilv/Zybilna/Tasha sealed, her rules are loosing grasp on prismir and her Domain is falling apart.

Silly question, but I'm new to D&D and DMing. If you run a hexcrawl, does that mean the players get to see the map of any given area? I didn't want my players to see the map of Prismeer, but I like the idea of hexcrawling too.

They wouldn't be to travel at 3mi per hour because of difficult terrain/ high waters

I would really appreciate a guide to hex crawls. Most of my experience is theater of the mind from 3.5. I DM’d once and I just barely read LMOP and improved the rest. WBTW I really want to be true to that setting in this instance.
