@@mausexx2459 probably anger, depression and acceptation. Anger people are the resistance, depressed people.... Well... Hanging tree ornaments, and acceptation, people trying to have a normal life with his new government.... Until the United States arrived with its indiscriminate mass bombings, killing soldiers and civilians alike, not to mention the German artillery trying to cover the withdrawals and the brief counterattacks that in the end all together ended in destroyed homes and buildings, ruined families and in general, suffering. The liberation of France in 1944 was probably more aggressive than The takeover by the Germans of 1940.

@世界一TheReynaldoSan Bro, two things. 1: That wasn't just the US, it was also Brittan and literally every other country with planes the allies could put over German territory. 2: That kind of destruction is just what happens in modern war, the Nazi's did the exact same thing in the East. The only reason they didn't turn France into a pile of rubble, like they did to Stalingrad, was because the French defense was so unironically BAD that they straight up just drove through them into Paris, where the French leaders surrendered in 2 weeks. Compare that to the Germans who used scorched earth tactics, and fought bitterly for every damn inch as the allies pushed them back, and yea...

In 1939, Hitler and Stalin were two biggest eyesores to Britons. Western nations attempted to manipulate one in order to contain another. Finally, in 1938 Arthur Neville Chamberlain flew to Munich and agreed to cede Sudetenland to Nazi Germany without an agreement of Czechoslovakia in order to deter a war. Chamberlain`s compromise with Hitler left a deep scar on CzechoSlovakian people`s mind though Czechoslovakia was a democratic state like Great Britain.

Kinda the opposite here in India.... Our independence leaders actually went to Germany and Japan to meet with Hitler and Hirohito just to weaken Britain and get our independence.... ( We never aligned with their ideology, people were desperate to weaken Britain those days and get their independence ) We actually helped Japan by providing forces to occupy Burma and North - East India... While on the other front 2.3 Million Indian soldiers had to fight along with Britain... For us it was India vs India.... Anyway Britain got severely weakened as everyone is India wished and that speeded up the independence movement because Britain was broke to run India...

So WW2 was planned by Britain?? Behind the scenes hoping Hitler started a war while playing peace maker?? Makes sense. Since sounds like Britain envied hitler and Germany for rising out of the depression to a great power. Now they are doing the same with Russia.

Ehhhhh not really. Operation barbarossa was a surprise to stalin and from what I know it was stalin who desperately wanted Nazi friendship not the other way around. Also the soviet defensive was pretty desperate and if you look at the number ALOT more Soviets were captured or killed hitler simply overextended himself

Its quite interesting, just before WW2 many political commentators and cartoons depicted Hitler has being beholden to Stalin. Some of Hitler's policies just before the war were looking more and more "socialist" and people thought that Hitler was actually a communist disguised as a Fascist. That and the whole non aggression pact
