@@promontorium They were apart of Germany to begin with. It was post WWI that the German Empire was split up as a repercussion of that war. Poland and France especially treated the Germans in those territories poorly. Which is what helped lead up to the rise of the Nazis.

They were also not thankful to the Germans prior WW1 for giving them a secure home when russian Zar kicked them out. As soon as the Brits promised them Palestine via Balfour Declaration they ended support for Germany and Germans lost WW1

@@MrMadre I mean the reason why Germany declared war on the US was because the US was essentially in an undeclared war against Germany. They had taken military actions against Germany, mostly consisting of naval warfare while also cutting them off economically. The American public really didn't want a war with Germany, but Roosevelt had promised to join and his actions showed him trying to intervene as much as he legally could.
