Thanks for the great feedback everyone! Just wanted to give this a little more visibility: I'm getting a lot of comments asking me to not take 5 months to make videos, and quite frankly, I agree! I would LOVE to be able to make these on a more regular basis, but the problem is that I gotta eat meaning I gotta get paid meaning I gotta spend time doing things other than OverSimplified. In addition, it seems that these new videos aren't getting many ads on them, probably because they're about Nazis and KZfaq's new advertiser-friendly rules are shockingly not keen on Nazis. The revenue reports are coming in and let's just say I'm a lot like Alois at the start of this video; not really rolling in cash (but unlike Alois I'm also not really rolling in women), which is a bit disappointing after months of work (especially the no women part). So if you'd like to see more OverSimplified on a more regular basis, please consider supporting me on Patreon: www.patreon.com/OverSimple Whatever the case, I'll be getting WW2 out as soon as I physically can! Thanks again for all the support!

Exactly. So many young men who turn to hateful and violent ideology in some form or another (White supremacy, Radical Jihadism, etc) do so as a misguided way to give themselves a sense of belonging and importance after they feel society has denied them all other chances. We see it still today.

Even though the injured soldier turned out to be Adolf Hitler, I respect the man (his name was Henry Tandey) that didn’t shoot him. He did the right and honorable thing. There was no way Henry Tandey could’ve known that soldier to be Hitler and what Hitler would do later in life. From Tandey’s perspective he was just an injured, unarmed soldier.

@kc korea oh I’m not saying war isn’t horrifying. But there’s also plenty of footage that can be found of soldiers smiling or laughing. Humans can normalise daily experiences even horrifying ones like warfare. Soldiers can often have good times and bad while at war and it isn’t that uncommon or crazy to be excited by the notion of going into war.

the UK collaborated with Hitler along with France. the original plan was to form a imperialist-fascist world of 3 spheres: anglo-US over the atlantic, Japan over the pacific and Asia, and Germany over Europe. but hitler had different plans so they fought. they never teach you this in history in the west and just call themselves "allies" fighting for justice when in reality it was evil, who btw knew full well the holocaust was going on and didnt bother doing anythint, trying to stop another evil from taking its spot and the only "good guys" was the USSR that slimy chamberlain and all the shit spoken of him pleading to hitler for peace are lies and he was actually making deals with hitler to annex czechoslovakia on purpose the nazis/fascists are well and alive today. its just called NATO and USA now.

The conclusion was the greatest and saddest conclusion I have ever seen better than any of the books I have read. Thank you so much for creating this absolute masterpiece. This is essentially the most important masterpiece of film history. It is a tragedy that this, it can’t be called a film, but a transcendent emotional experience, will be inaccessible for most. It beautifully encapsulates the human struggle to its basics; suffering, pleasure, faith, despair. It connects with the characters within the viewers, individuals suppressed within our own subconscious. It stays vibrant, fresh, and revolutionizes the art of storytelling and filmmaking while making a damn of statement on what it means to be human. Entertaining, gripping, and simply exhilarating. This might be the most impactful piece of art I’ve come across in my life, and I’m definitely coming back to it in the near future to study it more deeply. this is an absolute masterpiece , I was brought to tears listening to this and seeing the bacon go whirly swirly in a circle countless times. it absolutely moved my soul , and I don't think I can ever be the same. this bacon has changed my entire mental state , I am now at peace with who I am and what I will be doing later in my life. i have forgiven all my enemies and now I am a man of a pacifist life. I will move on , gotta move on , as the song says. the bacon is so inspirational , it shares it vast wisdom with all of us , and we are all so lucky that it would bestow it's great words with us. we are all children on bacon. hail bacon. hail bacon. The spinning bacon, rotating in one direction with this music... This made me tear up. How could such a bacon do such a thing? I'm struck by awe by this masterpiece. Especially when the bacon spins, showing its lightly salt covered tan skin. I can hear the crunch just from here, and so as the beautiful sound of the bacon scraping the dark, smooth velvet floor. The flavor, music and everything can be heard, tasted, seen and felt from a screen. You can really hear the breaths between the music artist, empathizing her love for this rotating bacon. Truly what I call modern art. This was the most legendary performance by any piece of bacon I have ever watched. The acting was top tier and very life changing. This is one of the greatest work from a piece of bacon I have ever seen especially on 57:42.I am currently crying so hard right now. This is seriously the most beautiful, well put together story ever. I can’t believe how magical it was. made me shed a tear. the video was just so truly heart touching words can not describe the series of emotions I felt. I absolutely loved the climax it had insanely excellent detail. Oh and we can’t forget the conclusion. Fun and Unfortunate fact : Henry Tandey was a very decorated private in the 1st World war When he saw a injured german soldier he decided to give the soldier mercy, only later on that soldier was hitler, No one actually believed Henry Since he was a very decorated private.

The sad thing about Hitler is that all he needed to have a villain arc was right with him. A traumatic childhood, he grew up with war, lost his 6 year old brother and his mother, lived in the streets for many years, when finally exploding. An explosion of trauma, anger, sadness, and tears is more powerful than that of all the nuclear bombs in the world. It exploded all over Europe, before finally being destroyed by Russia.

I think his story was story of lots of people back then, which some of them became his supporters later. It is not about an individual but a group of people who lost their way in similar circumstances. When we allow hate grow among communities and ignore it eventually it will show itself in one way or another

An interesting story regarding Hitler’s family doctor: The doctor, Eduard Bloch, did all he could do to help Hitler’s dying mother. Hitler never forgot this despite the fact that Bloch was Jewish, which Hitler knew. Hitler’s appreciation for Bloch was so great that Hitler had Bloch escorted out of Germany to safety once the Nazis’ anti-Jewish policies began escalating to violence.
